Finally Breaking Even!

After 4 months of starting of my small business, i never thought i'd ever break even or turn a profit. But today i was so proud of myself for finally breaking even and allowing to enter profit territory with products still left in stock. i'm still learning so many new things day by day and this gave me the motivation to keep on going despite things feeling hopeless and hard sometimes. Sorry if it seems like i'm bragging, i'm just excited about this and don't have anyone who'd understand the magnitude of this!

How I Sold My Side Project - Earning Me $65k

I made a video about how I recently sold my SaaS side project and what I learned from the process that could help you. Including who could buy it, sales process, sales pitch, due diligence, contract, handing it over, the long-term value it still gives me and loads of things to think about now for any new startup idea. Watch the full video here [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6tAzuku5Dw](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6tAzuku5Dw&fbclid=IwAR0pabNpXjmeSabsLkod58wnfWAuUCM_Imxuk-5F9Dyvvdos1NWZEFg239w)

is subscription model the best strategy

to be honest i've been studying the market of the streaming platform weather its audio visual or audio and i noticed the the subscription model is a very bad strategy for the creators in a side and ofr the consumer in the other side first the subscription costs are just increasing and they will keep rising non stop secondly for example in spotify the artists gets 0.0046 $ per stream which is very cheap for 1.000.000 stream u only get 6.000 $ compared to old days of cd albums a singer can make up too 20.000.000 $ from one album up too 100.000.000 $ example of thriller MJ's album so what do you think business minds ?........

Considering buying land, maybe 30-40 acres, and renting out plots on a daily-weekly basis for whatever people may need the area for. Thoughts?

Small business ideas in NYC

Hi, all. I’m in NYC and for the last couple of years I’ve been building and selling websites. I’ve had reasonable success, and I just sold one for about $80k. I’d like to take between $10k and $20k of it and start a small business. Here’s the catch: I’m in NYC (Brooklyn), which is great for a lot of reasons, but makes a lot of small business ideas tricky (for example, I’d be interested in an investment property, but they’re super-pricey around here). So—what small business ideas would make sense for me here? We’ve got almost no space but there are TONS of people here. I’d love to hear your ideas—nothing is too weird or esoteric. Thank you!

When Doc Martens first appeared in the UK in 1960, they were working boots that would cost you under $3 a pair https://t.co/BLttEEHsSx

What to do with big building and some growing/breeding equipment?

So me and my best friend have this quite big (3000 square meters) industrial building that we want to make use of. It's his building, but we want to use some of the space as he already have ice producing machines there and started growing CBD but didn't get the permit to grow it this year (yeah, Polish bureaucracy sucks). We are thinking about using his equipment used for CBD (lamps, humidity machines, etcetc) to start growing some products like mushrooms (both classic ones, and the expensive, 'not-known-to-the-people' ones) or some microgreens or maybe breeding like worms or some other animals or insects. That's why I come here with the question, because we want to know what else can we do. Any ideas will do.

Ideas to promote on social media? (like Instagram and TikTok)

Of course I know a viral video isn’t the only way to get success but I’m sure it helps! I’m just wondering if there are any small businesses out there that have actually successfully advertised through social medias like Instagram and TikTok, and if there are any specific tips and tricks to do so. Currently I post a lot of packing order videos, and process videos, which have gotten a decent amount of interactions, but not on the same level as other businesses I’ve seen. What are your advertising tricks?

How did you know your product / business / service idea would work? Did you just go for it? Or did you do a ton of market research first?

“Success is most often achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable.” - Coco Chanel My first instinct is to believe that one must rigorously research an idea before putting it into motion. But then I think "I've always heard how many succesful people failed before they succeeded. So did they teach them what would work? Or did they just keep trying new things, until something worked?" So my question to all of you is: how'd you know? Did you know your idea would work?

How Did You Decide On An Agency/Person To Run Your Google Ads?

I've been running a super small one man band agency for 3-4 years. I can run Google Ads campaigns extremely well along with creating custom landing pages etc, I have a ton of portfolio work - Especially for lead Gen campaigns. but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get higher paying clients? I'm currently stuck working generally with smaller paying clients and I don't want to fall into this trap of not progressing in my "career" As a business owner how did you decide on your Google Ads Agency/freelancer etc? AKA How Did You Decide On An Agency/Person To Run Your Google Ads? I've tried cold email, some cold calling (i'm not very good at) and doing some work for free but the success rate is low and always for lower paying clients. Thanks in Advance..

How do I get a sale out of state?

I’m a relatively new small business owner, being that I started in the later of 2021, and I have been incredibly fortunate to have about 20 orders in the time I’ve been open. All of these orders have been through word of mouth and returning customers, which all happen to be in my state and my community. How to I get people from other locations? I’ve seen live visitors from the other side of the country, and the occasional international visitor, but they never actually make a purchase. Any tips on how to grab the attention of more people out of state? Any tips to turn viewers into actual buyers?
