What to look for in an IT company?
My organisation is finally dumping our legacy IT company for a new one, and my boss decided to put me in charge of finding a replacement (because I "know things about computers"). I said sure because no one else volunteered, but I know fuck all about IT companies. I mostly sit on excel and edit the org's website from time to time. Does anyone know some signs of a good v. bad IT company?

How do business purchases and tax deductions work?
My wife is starting a business and I'm thinking about picking up some promotional items for clientele. If I purchase the items on my card, but use them for her business expenses, would that count as tax deductable even if she wasn't the person who bought them directly? I have no part in running her business. I just want to help promote her. Are there any of her smart ways for tax deductions that could help?
