How would you go about buying a business on bizbuysell?
Hello all I am currently looking into buying an established business on bizbuysell. This will be first real business idea as I have tried to do motorized bicycles and vending machines but inflation kinda ruined both of those. I am looking into 3 businesses one is an Amazon product and from the number sheet provided it’s gross pay is 130k it’s net pay is 74k the next is a landscaping business with 2 employees gross is 272k and netting 110k and the last is a window cleaning business with 2 employees the grosses 175k and nets 75k. I am interested in all three but mostly into the window cleaning business as the owner is retiring and only services 4 cities so there’s room to grow. My question is how would I go about buying one of these as far as securing financing and if I would need a business broker etc. Any information would be incredibly helpful like what to look out for what to ask and how to move forward. Thank you!

What tool(s) do you use for tracking business metrics?
I recently switched from my ridiculous (but awesome) spreadsheet accounting "system" to quickbooks online for the books (including invoicing and payroll) for my personal training studio, but now I'm wondering what I'll do for performance tracking? Things like: \- average client lifetime value \- # clients leaving each month \- # new clients each month \- projected revenue for the next couple months (based on current clients and commitments) What do you use for keeping tabs on how your business is doing and how the short term future is looking? Is this all stuff I can get from QBO reports but just have to learn how?

LLC vs Hobby
Hello all, my husband currently has an LLC with 6 members that was previously a Sole Prop only in his name. The company doesn't make much money, just enough to cover hosting expenses and some equipment, and each member only gets about $250 in profit a year. He switched to an LLC a couple years ago so he could spread the tax burden around. Due to the light income should it even be considered a business? Should he dissolve the LLC and just list the income as a hobby? No one in the LLC cares much either way but what tax implications may this have? The LLC is more trouble each year than it's worth but not sure if 'hobby' income would be much better during tax time. Thanks for the advice.

If you had $5-10k to grow your small creative business, what would you do?
I'm a photographer and I'm interested what other creative business owners have done to grow their business that they felt paid off in the long term. That could be investments in equipment, marketing, contracting out work, etc. Was there anything you were maybe hesitant to drop money on but it ended up being a game changer for your business? This post if just for the discussion and doesn't need to pertain to photography. I just enjoy hearing how people solved some of their growing pains.

How to copyright if you’re an artist?
I’m a digital artist and I love designing pins, stickers, and tote bag designs. I think my ideas are unique and I’m in the process of purchasing tote bags with my art on it. However, my lineart is thick (for the styles) so it can very easily be traced and stolen and I don’t want to put a huge watermark that’s gonna block the design when I post(obviously I have my tag in the design). Do I have to copyright every single design I have?? Because I make art often and I’m worried it would be too costly copyrighting every art piece I make for my business.
