● Elon Musk, chief executive of Tesla, said in tweets that he is giving serious thought to creating a social media platform because Twitter is “failing to adhere to free speech principle.” ● “Given that Twitter serves as the de facto public town square, failing to adhere to free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy,” Musk tweeted at the weekend. ● He said in an earlier tweet on March 25 that “free speech is essential to a functioning democracy,” and he questioned if Twitter “rigorously adheres to this principle.” Read more at the link in our bio.

People with craft businesses, what are your profits?
How long have you been in business? And what areas do you work in? I'm considering starting a small online shop for one of my hobby crafts. But I am not sure if it's worth the initial upfront investment.

A social media app to just discuss Sports
Sports engagement is one of the biggest contributors to discussions on social media. How about an app that is solely dedicated to discussing sports. Think everything from live reporting, to athlete engagement, threads for each game and a place for creators to monetize by providing insights/memes/conversations for each play during a game. Would love some feedback

How in Demand Would a Recycling Business Be?
Thinking about doing recycling. Most in my town get their recyclables at best on a weekly basis. Am thinking of a charge for those than want it more frequently than their scheduled 1x a week with the city. Would this be a problem that can be profitable? I polled about 120 people and 30 of them found it annoying that they can only recycle weekly. Would this be a problem that is profitable? Would appreciate if you have a recycling business if you have any pointers. Other than that would love your input regardless

New Supplier requires Resale Certificate or W-9
Hi guys, I'm registered as a single-member LLC, and I've been looking at a new supplier to potentially private label some products (ie. put my own label/brand on them). One of the documents they've requested is either the W-9 form or a resale certificate. I've dealt with numerous suppliers in the past, and none of them ever requested either of these documents. From what I've read online, a w-9 is usually requested the other way around, while a resale certificate is used for people who either buy wholesale or simply buy and resell the same item (which, correct me if I'm wrong, I think isn't the case with my business model). Or do they mean a sales tax permit with the latter? I'm fairly sure I'm missing something completely obvious here, and I'd appreciate it if any of you guys could give me some insight on which document I'd actually need to provide to the supplier and why. Thank you!

Staying at the Ritz in Paris? Here's a way you can get that elaborate €66 ($73) breakfast for free—by becoming a member of the Leaders Club loyalty program, which you can join at no cost to you. Usually, loyalty programs can seem like a never-ending hustle of chasing down and redeeming points and miles. But smaller brands sometimes eschew those currency systems entirely, offering valuable perks—like that princely morning meal—for anyone who signs up. Otto Toto Sugiri made a bet on Indonesians' need for data — and it paid off in a 10,000% stock surge. The serial entrepreneur has founded more than 20 companies including the country's first internet-service provider. But it was an investment in a data center that propelled him to become one of the world's richest people with an estimated $2.5 billion fortune, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. “Being rich won’t change me,” he says, adding he still loves eating dishes often found at roadside stalls. His success hasn't come without controversy, with the jump in the thinly traded shares leading to an investigation. Tap the link in bio to read more.

Any young people wanna make a small business?
For the last couple of days, I've been thinking making stickers would be fun. I've been doing art for about 4 years now so I have some skill. Enough to just make small cute stickers. It doesn't just have to be stickers. It can be some other art- related thing(maybe jewelry too even though I'm not skilled in it, but i learn fairly quickly). i think itd be fun to invest my time in something with help from another person. I'm also a minor so that's why i mentioned "young people"

Texas business taxes without revenue
First time filing taxes for an LLC. I started it at the end of 2021 but have not generated any revenue. It’s a side hustle and haven’t launched yet. I also really haven’t spent much on items for the business (<$200). I received my letter in the mail to file online and report no income which I just did. Is this all there is to it? Seems simplistic but I don’t want to mess something up! I hope to start generating income this year, so next years tax status will be different.

Bonus Incentive should be based on Net Sales right?
We have a manager that gets a quarterly bonus based on how our business is doing. this might be a dumb question but I need to clarify, the bonus should be based on Net Sales right ? (Revenue after taxes, tips, refunds, discounts etc...)
