In 2021 Tesco, the U.K.’s largest grocer, started collecting plastic bags and wrappers from customers to be recycled. Soft plastic, unlike the standardized material used in soda bottles, is difficult to turn into new products: first it needs to be sorted by hand, washed, shredded, melted, and filtered. The only way to find out, definitively, what happens to the plastic waste generated by Tesco would be to follow the garbage. And that’s exactly what bloomberggreen set out to do. Tiny digital trackers were placed inside three used plastic items. The journey that would cross seas and continents, revealing a netherworld of contractors, brokers, and exporters, and a messy reality that looks less like a virtuous circle and more like passing the buck. Looking for some advice in how to respond to a customer...
I have a medical device and skincare company and every year around tax time I get customers who call in a white hot panic asking us to provide them with a "record of everything they purchased in 2021"...it drives me crazy. We provide an invoice and shipping slip with every order so the customer received that information when they ordered and then failed to keep their own records. We are a tiny company and this is time consuming and a hassle and for instance one person has called me 5 times today about this and is mad I have not had time to drop everything and take care of getting her records she failed to keep for her own business. Any advice on how I can shut down these requests?

Is it possible to acquire a business with an SBA loan with 10% down?
I see that the federal requirements go as low as 10 percent down, but I’m generally seeing people say that loans are funded more often around 30 down. I intend to use my 401k to fund the down payment and it involves creating a ccorp and using the 401k to fund the purchase of the business via an SBA. Is that an atypical setup?

Onlyfans Agency
Heres a more obscure business idea for you guys: Start an OnlyFans Agency. I started one about a year ago and now run accounts for 8 models. Generates 30-40k a month, have 10 virtual assistants employed to run the accounts. Basically, you recruit girls who are already doing OF or girls you know want to start and then run their accounts for them - along with all the marketing (which is the main thing). Most girls fail because they dont put in the effort, but with the right automations and a business mindset its easy to kill it. Guy called Joe Lampton is a big player in this space and released a £500 course. I bought it and used it but wouldnt say its worth 500. If anyone wants the main course pdf email me [silverlake331@protonmail.com](mailto:silverlake331@protonmail.com) and I'll respond with the guide.

Email for Single Member LLC
A quick question regarding the best professional email. I just started a single member LLC where I'll be doing some freelance consulting. I have one client already where we're working on the details of the contract. I already own a domain name which is just my [firstnamelastname.com](https://firstnamelastname.com). The name of my LLC Is just "First Name Last Name Consulting, LLC". I was just thinking of using the domain name I already owned for my business email, but can't figure out a professional looking name. Like ["firstnamelastname@firstnamelastname.com](mailto:"firstnamelastname@firstnamelastname.com)" seems weird to me? Is there a convention people follow if they're in the same situation or should I also come up with a "business name" (which I don't have yet) and purchase a new domain corresponding to that?

Name Suggestions for an Editing Business
I'm a recent college grad, and I'm starting a copyediting business. My niche is tech businesses (aerospace, software, etc.) with no writing expertise. The only problem is that I have no idea what to name it. Here are my best ideas: 1. The Copy Shop — Fun, but it's currently being used. 2. Pro Proofreading — It's okay but boring. 3. Fireproof Editing — Fun, but someone else is using it. 4. Grammar Genie — Currently being used. 5. Edits For You — A play on Seinfeld's "no soup for you" episode. Help.

What Inventory System/Software does your business use?
Good afternoon redditors of r/smallbusiness, I have a question regarding your choice in an inventory software if you use one. The simple question: what software do you use for your inventory/stock? Is it custom made for your company, a subscription, or just a license purchase? Some follow ups I'm also curious about: Why did you pick the one you're using? Did the payment option affect your decision? Are there any general pros and cons about the one you use that I should consider? Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer!

UK: What are examples of disallowable expenses?
Probably a very dumb question but I am new to self-employment (and employment in general!) and will be filing my first tax return come April. I have been taking my time to try and understand the different parts of the form but I am not 100% sure if my grasp of disallowable expenses is correct. For example, if I bought something for £100 and used it for business 75% of the time and personal usage was 25% would the split be £75 allowable and £25 for disallowable? Is that how I would record it/what disallowable expenses account for? I would be really grateful if someone was able to provide some more examples so I can better understand what they are and see if there are any others that apply that I need to record in my return (for context if it helps I am a freelance software developer).

Is selling handmade & second-hand stuff a good idea? And would you buy them?
I have been wanting to open a small business for a long while. And my first plan was to sell merch, but because it costs more, and I need to learn more about copyright stuff, it's off the plate for now. There are lots of good quality and interesting stuff that people near me sells. I want to buy them and sell worldwide. Then I have plans of making my own designs for t-shirts, hoodies, keychains and stickers. I won't be selling any stained, broken, damaged clothes. Most of them are from women who stress-bought or didn't like them after buying it or didn't get the chance to wear and realized she won't be wearing it ever. I can also link a few photos and tell you how much would be the price. But t-shirts won't be costing over 10 dollars, and lots of stuff would be even cheaper. (also I'm sorry if this isn't where I am supposed to be asking this)
