Removing business Facebook page?

So I purchased a business 2 years ago that had been around for more than 20 years. The old owners at one point made a Facebook page and never did anything with it. I’ve made a new Facebook page that has all of the current info, services etc but for some reason the old inaccurate one is the one that always comes up first when someone searches for us. I have tried reporting it and marking it as being incorrect but it’s still there confusing my customers. Does anyone know how successfully to get rid of an old business Facebook page that you can’t log into?

Creative domain name help

Needing some help in regards to a domain name please. The domain name I need to match my small business name (eg. MangoMango) is taken so I’m trying to find suitable alternatives but I’m really struggling as a lot of the obvious options are also taken So far all I’ve come up with is… - Mangox2.com - TwoMangos.com or 2Mangos.com - xoMangoMango.com or MangoMangoxo.com But I’m not sure if they’re even any good? Or if one of them is better than the others? Or if you can think of something better overall? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks 🥰 Ps. My business is brand design if that helps 🤷🏼‍♀️

Small business owners, how did you get funding for your start up costs?

Hello everyone. This sub has been a blessing, truly. I have a question, how have you funded your start up costs? I personally want to see how others find their business, I’m from California unsure it’s it differs state to state :)

For many Europeans, the nearer they are to Russia, the faster their cost of living is rising. The extent of a country’s dependence on Russia for its energy needs is a key factor, but not the only one: https://t.co/RG2wDGvztM https://t.co/7fiS30Yc4o

Issues with Plaid not supporting your bank; specifically Brex, Plaid, Santander Small Business

We have great history with Santander and are opening an account with Brex to build our business credit. Unfortunately Plaid insists on standing between the two and doesn’t support Santander Business. We are hoping to find a solution that doesn’t require changing banks; that is, we shouldn’t have to change banks just to satisfy a third party app like Plaid. Any advice or similar experiences welcome and thank you.

Wyoming-based LLC - is it truly anonymous and does it serve as a shield against litigation?

Hi All. I'm in a business (cybersecurity) that is increasingly becoming more litigious. We've had no problems yet but I'm a "hope for the best prepare for the worst" type of guy. I talked to a tax lawyer recently who recommended I register a Wyoming LLC and funnel all my business income to this entity as it is completely anonymous and untraceable. Does anyone here have any insight into this? Or is this BS? Cheers.

Customer won't pay bill or return inventory, is there anything beneficial tax wise to write off the inventory?

I had a customer who went out of business during the pandemic and still owes me $35,000. The cost price of the inventory is about $15,000. They have refused payment and refused to return the inventory. There is no chance of me getting my payment and I doubt taking him to court over it would do any good. (Two different countries.) I assumed and hoped that when I did my taxes, there would be some kind of benefit to me as a write off or a credit or something for the $15,000 in lost inventory. I asked my accountant about it and this was her response: You can create a Credit Memo and enter this amount as bad debt. You report on cash basis – report income only when received. So, writing off A/R will not affect net income on cash basis because we never reported the income. She is basically saying I get no benefit tax wise for the bad debt. I feel like this can't be right. Anybody have any advice about this? Thanks so much.

How do you describe your business if you operate multiple different EINs?

If your business has two or more EINs how do you describe that? I've heard the terms associated companies, parent/subsidiary, multi-ein, enterprise. Curious if there is a common describe for this operating structure?

UK freelancer working for US client

I am a freelance graphic designer registered as a sole trader in the UK, but not VAT registered. I have a potential client based in the US and I would work remotely for this client from the UK. Can I just send them my usual UK invoice, but showing USD instead of GBP? I am a UK tax resident. Is there any tax implication in the US?
