DO A BUSINESS PLAN!!!!
This sub is a hot dumpster fire of questions by people that would eventually be solved by doing a full 15-20 page business plan. The business plan will force you to research your market, customer demographics, financials, permits, loans, locations, contingencies, everything. At the end of writing that plan anyone should be able to pick it up and know what your business will be doing for the next 5 years to stay afloat. SO WHY HAVEN’T YOU DONE A BUSINESS PLAN YET? Edit: made it a question.

Do comfortable chairs decrease productivity?
I manage a retail store. We have crappy wooden chairs to sit on behind the register for when we got all of our work done and there isn’t any customers. It’s better than nothing. Employees can also remain seated while ringing up a customer but it’s usually easier to stand to get it done faster. Speaking with the owner about it, and she says that if we get comfortable chairs, no one will want to get up to work when there is work to be done. There will be less motivation to get up and do things around the store as well like straightening things up. People will be less motivated to get down on the floor and personally help customers. I’m leaning towards the other side of this, thinking that providing more comfortable chairs would be better for productivity. Reasoning: Less discomfort means more meaningful rest time when sitting. This should, in turn, result in more productive work when it is needed. Any thoughts or experience with this?
