Anyone seeing success with online ads?
Hi, We started our clothing ecom store couple of months ago and after some initial sales through friends and family, our sales have been pretty slow. We tested Instagram ads with a small budget but didnt really work for us? What platforms are working for you? Are you satisfied with sales you are getting there?

Construction Companies - How are you finding labor?!
I work for a small construction company and we are trying to hire both entry level and mid-mgmt positions. I currently can’t give away a $35 per hour job as a mid-level jobsite manager/foreman. Our starting pay for entry level is $20/hour and that’s to do some hard labor (hanging doors, light demo) but it’s mainly to keep sites clean and help keep an eye on things. We have listings across several platforms (Facebook, Craigslist, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, state job board, etc) and I’ve only received two applications in three weeks. Am I missing something? Is there a better way to find people? Are my pay ranges way off? Thanks for the help.

Has anyone ever started a business that only operates on the weekend? I want to start a gutter cleaning and window washing business but don't want to risk quitting my 9-5.
My question is basically in the title. I want to start a window washing and gutter cleaning service but I would rather initially just do the service on only the weekends to see if this is something I would enjoy doing on a full time basis and if it would actually be profitable compared to my full time job. I currently work a pretty cosy 9-5 remote tech job that pays in the low 6 figures, it took a lot of hard work and luck to get this job and it would be really bad for me if I quit it to start this business only to find out that I don't like doing this kind of work or it doesn't pay as much as I anticipated.

seeking to purchase a small business (first timer) What am I not seeing with this business?
Hello! I am considering purchasing this business: [https://hcitherapy.com/](https://hcitherapy.com/) [https://www.loopnet.com/biz/Business-Opportunity/cryotherapy-med-spa-business-for-sale/2108172/](https://www.loopnet.com/biz/Business-Opportunity/cryotherapy-med-spa-business-for-sale/2108172/) I am attracted to it for the low barrier to entry (cost wise), my medical background, ability to scale (hire techs to do most of the treatments) and compelling results of the therapies offered. I am nervous about a recession-- will people still be seeking aesthetic treatments? And I am concerned about continuing to bring in new clients since the average client only needs this a 1-6 treatments (unlike botox where the can come back on a cyclical basis forever). What am I missing? More experienced investors-- do you see nothing by problems? Do you see room for improvement/ opportunities? Thank you for weighing in.

Scheduling app with auto scheduling?
Hello All, I am in an area role for 2 commercial gyms and am currently doing scheduling for 30 employees with Microsoft Excel. I am looking for an upgrade. Does anybody have recommendations for a scheduling app service that allows employees to input their availability, and then have the scheduler automatically create the schedule? I see a lot that allows for management's manual input of shifts, which would be great but this creates the same amount of work but just makes it prettier. Any suggestions would help!

Buying a house switching to an scorp
This month marks 2years of my 50/50 llc partnership being registered. We are planning on switching to an s corp starting in 2024. How do you qualify for buying a house? I’ve read a ton but still don’t quite understand what income is considered. I’m trying to start looking in December. Located in the US.

People of reddit here to ask your opinion for an idea
A few days ago my friend and I thought of an app similar to Tinder but to find people we see around, with whom we exchange glances but neither of the 2 people has the courage to go and talk to them or there is no opportunity. How would this work? Person A writes a post on this app describing herself and putting the time slot and place she was at the time she saw Person B. Person B if he was mutually interested can search for Person A's ad and get in touch with it. Would you use this app? (:

Emails - Do you have different usernames for different purposes?
I have a new business and I'm trying to work out how to make my emails more efficient. I'll have my main one under my name. But is it better to create different ones for like website logins etc? For example if I'm also going to sell on eBay and Amazon, should I create like a login@domain instead of my using my name?

General partnership question
My wife and I are looking to start our own business in BC Canada. We have done our own research and cannot find the answer to our question - can we create a 99/1 partnership between the two of us? My wife is a tax free First Nation, and we would like to maximize our tax savings for our new business. Is there any reason why we cannot have the business 99 in her name and 1 in mine? We’ve already explored a sole proprietorship and hiring me as an employee and that is not ideal. I have called 6 different accountant offices in the last two week and not a single one has called us back. No idea what is going on. Thank you!

Double Taxation for Canadian goods sold to US Customers?
What steps can we take to minimize our taxes on international transactions? (If we manufacture in Canada? If we manufacture in the US and ship a bit to Canada? I understand there are some tax treaties in place to limit double taxation)

X Border Shipping for Food
What licensing requirements should I be aware of when sending our product over the border? (An export permit? We already ship across the border and have an FDA number... I hope we haven't been illegal for years). For reference, we are in Canada, shipping to the US.
