We recently automated our Drive Thru with Outdoor Kiosks and it's really helped with Labor issues. Anyone else automating tasks?
You can see our upgraded Drive Thru [here](https://streamable.com/s08kiw). This is our flow: 1. When a customer stops at Drive Thru, our cashier informs them that we have upgraded to self checkout kiosks and if they don't want to use the kiosk to inform the cashier. 2. After successful ordering the kiosk takes a picture of the car. 3. Out of 3,781 orders only 445 were taken by the cashier in the month of July. 11% of orders. 4. After 3 months of doing this upgrade we are seeing the ordering time has improved tremendously, and people increasingly willing to take their own orders. 5. All orders go to our Kitchen Display Software. 1. Cashier Display Software provides our cashiers with a picture of the vehicle, so they can easily determine who ordered. We have our in-house software development team at our Restaurant. We have developed our own POS, Kiosk, Online Ordering, Mobile App, and soon we are making our own inventory, and employee management.

Employee missing work for partying/drinking
WWYD? I have one of my employees on Facebook and I am able to see his stories. Two weeks ago I saw his stories that he was out partying and drinking on a Sunday. The next Monday he texted me flat out saying he was hungover and couldn't make it in. Then again this week there is a story on Facebook that he is drinking, comes Monday he has this story about his sister being sick and that he had to take her to the ER, he asked if he could be late. I've also caught him using the company car for personal things, I found someone else's badge in the front seat. We talked about it and said he wouldn't do it anymore. This employee is in sales and has been in our company for 3 months. His sales were great the first two months, but this last month he barely made any. I am not in the US so if I fire him I would need to pay him a severance. WWYD?

Letting customers know you exist
Hello! I've recently decided to start a machining and fabrication shop. I live in a rural community mostly supported by farming, transportation, and factories. I'm having a bit of trouble finding the best way to reach my target customers to let them know I'm providing services. Being that I'm mostly interested in taking work from other businesses, am I better served by phone calls and firm handshakes over other types of marketing like Facebook? Any advice is appreciated!

Keeping 1 building with 0 debt and buying additional 2nd building?
Anyone been in this situation? All the equity tied up in one building, it would be nice to use it at least for the 20% down on mortgage on 2nd building without having to convert cash. Thoughts?

Small Businesses and Cyber
Ok, so question for you all. Do you, as SMB owners/entrepreneurs, execs, etc really not see any value in securing the business? The reason I'm asking is I'm an exec for a cyber firm and we get inquiries alllllll the time, but it almost never materializes into anything. Is it just the cost factor, or do people really believe that they aren't a target? Because honestly, it's a beatdown to keep having to sit across the table from the owner/exec team and help them work through a breach or ransomware attack when it was completely avoidable.

I Will Automate Your Worst Time Wasting Activity for Free
Hey small business owners! I’m Jacob and I’m an engineer. I'm looking for some real-world project to add to my portfolio in Python so I'm going to automate something that is making you waste a lot of time and effort for you for FREE (because screw busy work - I still feel the frustration from prior job experiences). There's no limit to the type of project that I accept, I'll tell you if I can't do it but anything that you think has a significant impact on your work/life is a good candidate and you can submit it EVEN IF you think there is nothing I can do about it. I'll be selecting 3 projects to work on. I'll try to choose projects that have the most impact on people's work/life. Submit your project here: [https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScXa\_LjeVpC4jlsKGaWvoYViUUEbxBQJqq8ihwThzgeYGZWhA/viewform?usp=sf\_link](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScXa_LjeVpC4jlsKGaWvoYViUUEbxBQJqq8ihwThzgeYGZWhA/viewform?usp=sf_link)
