How/When do you pay yourself?
Basically the title. We are about to own a business and are debating whether to put ourselves on pay roll or occasionally just write a check from the business to us or maybe theres more options we havent thought of.

A way to find an activity partner (socialize)
Hi everyone, I have the idea :) How about creating a platform to make new friends. Sometimes I feel that people struggle to find partners for activities that they would love to do. For example, if you want to start playing tennis or find a buddy to ride a bike. Often it could be difficult then you don't have many friends, or you're new to the city. It's like tinder, but for activities and not relationships. What these activities could be? • Sports • E-games • Trips • Board games • Etc Maybe there could be an app where people could post their "ad" for activity, write a small bio, add the number of people needed and wait for responses. Is there something like this already created? Would you use it? What do you think of it? Let's not think about revenue at this stage.

Is an online business an option?
I want to know if there would be a legal way in which I could create a company on the internet, and save all the money earned in a foreign bank account and thus not have to pay taxes to the Colombian state? Of course, I would be hired as an employee of this company and receive a salary, but the real profits (utility) and others would be protected outside this country. Is this possible? What do I do? So I want to provide services online but without having to finance the state that I live in. I do all this for ethical reasons, I cannot pay taxes to a state that kills us, I refuse to do so

Wix or Shopify?
I’m stepping away from Etsy and looking to make my own website. I’m hoping to hear from people who have tried Wix or Shopify. The price is around the same but Wix offers a lot more customization it seems. Is Shopify easier to integrate my products to Instagram and Facebook? Sorry, just looking to hear from you guys! Thanks in advance!

What do you use for your budgeting and/or tracking transactions?
I’m curious if anyone uses something more basic that isn’t for bookkeeping, but just for tracking and forecasting transactions. I HATE quickbooks and how generic certain categories are for P/L. Trying to move away from excel, but I’ll never use QB. Thanks!

How to best distribute our product/get more customers?
Hey all! We've built a pretty cool/innovative product (at least we think so hehe). The product helps online businesses send personalized videos at scale using AI (for thank yous, abandoned carts, re-engagements, etc.). Until now we've pretty much relied on cold outreach to individual stores, which has worked, but is obviously not very scalable. Some other things we are in the process of exploring are partnerships with marketing agencies (has been less fruitful so far) and partnerships with marketing influencers (very early, but have had some early traction here). If you were in our shoes, how would you go about distributing the product and getting more customers? [Here](https://www.trymaverick.com/) is the link to our site in case it helps with ideation.

Sole Proprietorship vs LLC vs "side work"
I detail cars for a living. I've started doing side work and plan on eventually making my own business. Basically, at what point should I differentiate "doing some work for my buddy Steve" from actually starting a sole proprietorship or an LLC? Should I start with the former and eventually move to the latter? What kind of questions should I be asking/answering to figure out which one is right? Thanks in advance!

OSHA rules
I am starting my own general contractor's company. I do not plan to have any employees and I won't be working on any state jobs. Do I still need to follow OSHA rules in order to not get fined?
