is it okay to hand deliver Christmas cards to my favorite and/or highest earning customers?

we gave away a lot this year so can not really afford postage but i have hundreds of cards and am closed for a month. thinking scotch tape them to the door? i can easily walk my neighborhoods. we travel 5mph when we are running the truck. i walk about that and can easily skip the streets without regular buyers.

What would you advice a person who's about to start a small business?

I'm planning to start a business very soon, what advice would you give me before doing so? (Any site recommendations would help too)

Question about small business health insurance

Hello, all, Quick (maybe?) question about purchasing health insurance as a small business. We run a tiny little LLC that is doing pretty well, but so far, it's just the three cofounders and none of us are taking a salary. Are there any options for health insurance? I've run through some of the big marketplaces and it looks like a lot of them are asking for w2 forms. We don't have anything like that yet. Are there any other options? Is it, like, illegal or something to take a salary of $1 a year? Really just looking at and exploring options at the moment. Any guidance or threads to follow would be appreciated, thanks!

I need help trying to make a business plan; massage therapist.

I've read all the business plans book my small town library has. I just cant get around the expenses part. Being a massage therapist, there really is not that many expenses, monthly. I do not know how to come up with the startup costs to get a loan, just so I can pay first month and deposit on this great space (utilities are included). My credit isn't bad, But not good either. Should I just see about a personal loan, without a business plan or hurt my head trying to maths. Or any advice really, trying to get this going early next year. I can anatomy but not numbers, lol.

Buying a laundromat to work in - Dumb or smart?

This past year I had a job traveling around in an RV and have become acquainted with laundromats. I think I would enjoy owning one but for so long my passion has been owning rentals and not sure if I'm just seeing something new and shiny, so to speak. I'm only 26 and don't have a career but I do have 100-150k to play with. Would it be smarter to buy a laundromat with owner financing and more or less buy myself a job for a few years or to start buying MFH's with low money down and go that route? Anyone here have any laundromat experience?

Out of state sales tax nexus calling to collect

I am borderline or maybe over on the 200 invoice limit for an out of state tax nexus. I am no where near the monetary value and the sales tax paid would be a couple hundred bucks. What is the trigger or how would they even know I might owe them sales tax?

Recommend an Ontario business school that's online.

I'm a tradesman, looking to possibly start my own business, but I'd like to learn about running and owning a shop/small business properly first. The idea of learning as I go doesn't seem like it will work out for me, so I'd like to do some learning while I'm still working. Any recommendations are welcome, sorry if I'm in the wrong sub here, not sure where else to post.

Forming an LLC with a P.O. Box as a physical address?

Hello, I have been trying to figure out how to maintain my privacy but also save money starting up and I ran across someone’s YouTube video where he talks about being able to use a P.O. Box by also getting an apartment or suite number so that it looks like a physical address. How much trouble could I get in for doing this? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Writing Checks from my business to others

Question, for work I have to pay invoices on a daily basis. I have noticed that all the providers always give me their tax id numbers. What is this for? Am I supposed to put that on the check somewhere? Is that for me? Do they need mine? I am confused...

An App that lets loyal customers donate directly to your small business

I have an idea for an app that helps small businesses. It’s a simple, meaningful way for loyal customers to support their favorite local businesses. Small businesses would go on the app and create a business profile that showcases what your business does, and your story. Customers can find your business on the app, donate to your business, upvote your business profile, and leave reviews. This idea is similar to that of holdmycoffee.com but for small business instead of creators. I’m still in the idea stage and just trying to validate the idea, I have a passion for helping small businesses every since COVID and I want to make an impact!

Brick and mortar business owners - what are your common maintenance needs?

I have a handy man/building maintenance side business and want to go full time. I am working on a subscription model for small brick and mortar businesses where I would come in monthly to take care of small projects, preventatives on furnace/ac and large appliances, assemble displays, window washing, salt/snow removal of sidewalks, etc. My background is 5 years of industrial maintenance, so I know a little about a lot. I’m just not sure what the common issues are for a smaller facility.

As a new manager, your job isn’t to get on the field and play the game. It’s to observe the game, devise a winning strategy, and then give your team the guidance, direction, and motivation they need to play at their peak performance. https://t.co/pJMIu7Rggk

All in One Freelancing SaaS Tool

I have been doing freelancing for last 4 years and use many tools. Many of them are worth every penny but the thing with which I struggle is jumping from one tool to another and most freelancing tool offer very limited functionality with free plan. So I was thinking about making a SaaS product that will have all the freelancing tools used by freelancer in their day to day life. I don't know if there is any tool that offer Project management / CRM / Legal Contracts / Invoices / Time Tracking in one tool, if there is any please let me know, either way what you guys think about this idea?
