Best addition to Arlo’s big kid room yet has been these wood shelves I talked my Dad into helping me build! 🌈🌈🌈 I put together a post today about how we made them and how it’s helped Arlo play with more of his toys because he can SEE them. 👀 I was inspired by Montessori toy shelves and the idea of everything being low, visible and easily accessible so kids can play independently. (Though obviously, as you can see, we don’t follow a Montessori method strictly! Just pull the bits and ideas that work for us and our space!) Tutorial and toy/decor sources are all on the blog!! #themindwelling

I am DIGGING the collars right now. Anyone else? Listen, I can understand why some of you wouldn’t but my ten year self who wore them when they weren’t trendy and more because I loved Anne of Green Gables, is sooooo stoked! And they’re so cute with the contrasting collars and patterns and Rick rack! So, we created a detachable one that you can wear with all your things. And then made a mommy and me version for your child. Instructions and pattern on Lars today! #larsmakes

This is about as tidy as we get here at the moment. So naturally I took photos for Instagram to celebrate. Not shown just out of shot are the piles of washing, pushchair, tins of paint, scattered toys and collection of cardboard boxes 🙃

If you didn’t catch my stories last week, I shared my start to finish idea to creation of these acrylic palm fronds. 🌴🌿 I’ve saved it in my story highlights if you want to go back and watch it. But I’m finishing up your initial orders and I am loving how these look all layer out together! How fab would these be as a tropical party backdrop or for a wedding as place cards on the plates with guests names hand lettered on them? So many possibilities! And if you are as obsessed with them as me, I shared a larger version of this image in my stories today that you can screen shot and use as a phone wallpaper. P.s. you can still grab your own if you missed out last week by following the link in my profile to my shop.
