The sunset last night was so beautiful I ran out to the cutting garden in my jammies to try and capture the magic. The Bearded Iris are just starting to bloom and beckycrowley_ interspersed them with biennials like Sweet Rocket, Foxglove and Lunaria (Money Plant). The combination is absolutely spectacular! This is Iris Candy Coating that we got from schreinersiris last season and it’s already a new favorite. Bearded Iris often get a bad wrap but with a little digging there are so many incredible varieties to choose from. In an effort to help you fall in love with these old fashioned flowers we are working on one final free spring flower guide: Floret’s Favorite Bearded Iris Guide. The guide includes a set of printable planning cards featuring more than 30 of my favorites plus harvest and vase life information. There’s a link in my bio to sign up and we’ll email it to you as soon as it’s done. #ayearinflowers
