These are actually wild carrots, but you wouldn’t want to eat them! The roots are tough and stringy, not like the carrots we like to eat. Other creatures find them tasty though – pollinators like bees and butterflies love to feed on the nectar in their flowers 🐝 🦋 https://t.co/BNX3Y4aMXN

Believe it or not, for much of the UK, hedgerows are one of the most important wildlife habitats. Next time you pop out to the shops or go for your daily walk why not take a closer look! Can you see the plants with clusters of flowers that look a bit like umbrellas?
