The father of a man who died after jumping into the River Thames in London in an attempt to save a woman from drowning has paid tribute to his 'hero' son. Folajimi Olubunmi-Adewole, aged 20, saw the woman fall into the river and jumped in just after midnight on Saturday along with a second man who tried to save her. Emergency services including the coastguard and police marine units rushed to save all three people in the river and they managed to rescue the fallen woman and the other man who jumped to her aid, but sadly they couldn't find Olubunmi-Adewole at the time, and his body was recovered later that morning. His father Michael Adewola told The Sun that his son deserved a โmedalโ for the โbraveryโ he showed by jumping into the river to try and save the woman, adding that he was a โvery unique and angelic soulโ. Rest in peace Folajimi โค๏ธ

The pill could help prevent severe illness in people whose jabs don't work as well, or be a second line of defence in case a new variant emerges Chief trial investigator Prof Kevin Blyth, of Glasgow University, told the Mirror: โIt would be a huge step forward if antiviral drugs work. โYou donโt have any hospital services being put under enormous pressure because patients never come to the hospital, normal services can function and you donโt have to have lockdown.โ Around 60 people are currently involved in the first phase of Pfizer's PF-07321332 trial, which is expected to come to an end on the 25th of May. Fingers crossed the trials go well and this is another positive step in the fight against covid ๐
