The same company for 84 years 😮 Walter Orthmann, who's a 100 years old, broke the world record of the longest tenure at the same company 💼 Guinness World Records reports that Orthmann, was born on April 19, 1922, in the small Brazilian town of Brusque. He started working at 15 to help his family with financial issues. in 1938 he started as a shipping assistant for the textile company- Industrias Renaux S.A., now known as ReneauxView. But was quickly promoted to a sales position, and then became a sales manager, a post he has held ever since 😮 He’s now been with the company for more than 84 years, breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest tenure in the same company. Orthmann said the record is his 'proudest achievement' and that focusing on the present was what drove him to make history.

Back in April a burglar broke into the mother's home in San Antonio, Texas, while her three children were inside 😮 The intruder, said to have entered through the laundry room at the back of the house, was shot twice in the chest by the mother. When officers arrived to investigate the scene, they found the wounded man sitting on a chair in the woman's garden. The man, later identified as 41-year-old Roman Rodriguez, died on the way to the hospital, KSAT reports. Neighbours spoke to ABC12 about the incident, saying: “The first thing we heard was a gunshot and it was one. And then maybe within a minute a second one popped up.” The mother and her children were unharmed. Now, it has come to light that the mother will not be facing charges, due to the Castle Doctrine. The law is based on the idea that a person has a right to protect their home, or 'castle'.

A Ukrainian nurse who tragically lost both legs in a landmine bombing has been filmed having an emotional first dance with her new husband. Oksana was dancing with her groom Victor as they got married in a small hospital ward alongside cheering guests 👉 The 23-year-old sadly lost both her legs along with four fingers after a mine exploded from underneath her, reports The Mirror. The tragic incident happened in the eastern city of Lysychansk, on the 27th of March. Oksana and Victor were heading home 'on a familiar path', according to The Lviv Medical Association. However, as Oksana turned to warn her future husband, the mine reportedly went off and she was left badly injured.
