Is PreK Worth it with all the Sicknesses?
We have two boys (4+2) and one is in PreK. We've been sick nonstop since September. We're just getting over Covid now (which we avoided previously for three whole years, so it sucks). We don't need to have our kids in school. Our work schedules mean we could even indefinitely home school if we wanted to (big if). Is there some good reason to ride this stuff out with gritted teeth? Or does it make more sense to throw in the hat and try again come next September???

Please do not flair your post "All Advice Welcome" and then go along and report every anecdotal response you don't like. Thanks!
Just the title. If you don't want anecdotes, use the "Evidence Based Input Only" flair.

Mil fake crying.
I'm at my in laws and after going into another room, she asks my daughter if she loves grandma. My daughter was busy eating and she kept asking and eventually my daughter says "no". My mil started fake crying and asking her "do you want grandma to cry?" And my daughter said no. So my grandma said "then say you love grandma, say it, say it, say I love you grandma, because I love you I love you," Triggered. Am I being dramatic? I get so dramatic when ppl fake cry

How do I get my wife to participate in discipline?
I feel like a single parent. No matter how many times I ask her she wont properly discipline our daughter, 3 year old, lets call her Sarah. She sits there repeating herself, then caving. Wife: "Sarah go to take a nap" Sarah: "NOOOO!!!!!" Wife: "You need to go nap, now" Sarah: "nuh uh!" Me when I get home "Why isnt Sarah in bed?" Wife: "I couldnt get her to go." She will discipline but only after the child after she has emotionally been broken by her and she snaps out of anger. Its not healthy by any means for any of us. Is there a video I can show her? Something to motivate or instruct? Your personal experiences with this?

Is "Acts of Service" really my love language, or am I just over being the responsible one?
Do you know what I mean? I mean sure, who doesn't love it when somebody does something nice and thoughtful for them without being asked? But honestly, I think I would be a lot more open to things like quality time, words of affirmation, gifts, or physical touch if I didn't have 95% of everything that is required to run this damn household going through my head the whole time! I feel like I don't even know who I am anymore because of all the roles I have to play in my daily life. Like I don't want to "be the bad guy" and get pissy and throw a fit to get them to do things. Or get so overwhelmed and frustrated that I cry about it. But if I just ask or suggest or remind or make a list or create a chart nothing happens. I'm *thisclose* to moving out and staying with my mom for a month. He acts like we share the load equally and I honestly feel like that's the only way to get through to him how much I do. Ugh.

Storing and printing family photos
Like most people I have tons of digital photos with baby and pre-baby. Iām looking for suggestions for: 1. Storage of digital photos. What cloud services do people use? Are there ones that are better for organizing and archival purposes? Ideally low-cost. 2. Storage of printed photos. I know photo books are popular but I donāt like the idea that you canāt pull the photo out of the album. Is this a real issue or just a perceived issue? Really just looking to hear about peopleās systems.

Someone please make me feel better about my baby rolling in his crib
LO is almost 6 months old. He's been rolling back to tummy for a long while at this point. He still hasn't mastered rolling tummy to back. He will accidentally do it (reaching for a toy up above his head) but just doesn't understand if he wants to be off his tummy to just roll. We practice during the day. Recently, he's started rolling in the crib during nap time. Today he rolled to his tummy, grumped around and did the "clock" for a few minutes. The next time I look at the camera he's completely face planted into the mattress. Assuming he fell asleep. I stood there and watched him for a few seconds, waiting for him to move his face out of the mattress so he could breathe, he didn't. So I went in and turned his head to the side. Now all I can think about is he's going to do this in his sleep. Would he have eventually moved his face so he could breathe? I really hope so. I'm so scared. How am I supposed to sleep. I just want to obsessively watch the camera.
