“Normal didn't work for too many of our kids. ... The notion of a return to normalcy I really think is a wrong-headed approach to this moment. And I hope people resist it.” @PaulDarvasi https://t.co/2tjggtPa7c

Husband refuses to change diapers
So my husband definitely refuses to changes diapers with poo in them .. he is fine with just pee but poo is a huge no. He would do everything except for this one. I feel a bit (a lot) annoyed by it. I find it very childish and annoying. We talked about it many times but he just won't change his mind. Do I give him a rest and just keep doing it myself or what ?

What’s the problem with sleep associations?
My 6m old sleeps through the night after a bottle, some rocking + white noise. I’ve looked into sleep training before and I just can’t do it, she will scream gradually louder and louder and I only get to 20 min before I have to pick her up. I don’t think I can break her easily of her sleep associations, but do I have to try? I go into panic mode when she does, as I’m sure most parents do. I could possibly let someone else sleep train her and leave the house, but I would be glued to the camera app. If I don’t break her of sleep associations is it such a big deal if she’s a toddler who needs a glass of milk and some hugs before bed? It doesn’t matter who rocks her, but she needs it.

anyone else get annoyed that their MIL and family keeps bragging about how your baby looks like her/them?
I get very annoyed when everyone constantly says that my son looks like my MIL, I don't know what it is but pisses me off, because for one I don't see it and I think he looks like himself and no one else he might have similarities sure but I hate it when it's constantly thrown in my face he looks like her lol

Am I the only one?
Am I the only one who has had a hard time adjusting and finds everything exhausting? My babe is 6 months. Examples-some girls who had babies within the last 6 months all had a moms night out last night. Drinking, looking like they were having a good time. I hate drinking now because I hate having a headache the next day while taking care of the baby. I also can’t stay out late. I’m too exhausted by like 7:00. Some other examples. A friend of mine took her 3 month old (plus 2 older kids to Disney) A trip to the grocery store wipes me out. Another acquaintance took her two month old to the beach. On a two hour flight. And another friend is currently pregnant and has a three year old. She’s taking a trip to visit family who live nine hours away while on maternity leave. I was a train wreck for the first few months. I think this is all great. But I can’t do any of this. I’m not really complaining, it is what it is. Im just trying to commiserate.

Some teachers are being told a better attitude could make their job easier. But telling teachers to look on the bright side doesn’t have the effect you might think. It can discourage or stress them out instead. @NimahGobir https://t.co/e0Q80saMVa
