Anyone else violently oppressing your kids?
I am such a dictator. I do not let my 8 year old ride in the front seat. Everyone in her year and even the year below her ride in the front seat, usually without booster seats. I also will not let her watch Wednesday. Everyone at school has apparently seen Wednesday and I am the worst. I also won't buy her a monthly subscription of Robux. Worst. As for the 3 year old, well, I only let her have one ice block a day. What even am I?

Mansplaining
Teacher told my 14 year old son he was mansplaining . My son was trying to help her fix something and was upset when she said this. I am thinking about how to handle this? It bothered my son, but I only have my son's side of the story. Thoughts? Edit to say my son is a good kid and has not been in trouble at all, no referrals ever.

STEM is not just about learning science, technology, engineering, and math content, but rather is a way to connect and support learning in all content areas. @Rdene915 @edutopia https://t.co/mF6OPaZsOX

Is this reasonable?
I have a 3 year old with my boyfriend. I want to end the relationship but he says I can't move out because that would be "taking his son away from him". He needs his son to live in his house so he can see him every morning, every night, every weekend. Anything less is unacceptable. If I even start to mention shared parenting he screams about having his child taken away. I mean, couples with children break up every day. It sucks. I'm sure it's incredibly difficult to transition from seeing your child whenever you want to a set schedule. I'm not looking forward to it at all, but his only alternative is for me to remain in a relationship I do not want.

When did your kiddo stop napping?? Mine will be 2 in April and he is harder to put down for naps. Daycare (4x/wk) reports he naps for 2 hrs which must be a lie lol I really need his naps myself 😂😵💫

Do your kids read the news? How can I get my kids to read the news?
I'm trying to get my kids to read the news more. They're around 12, but they don't seem to be interested. Does anyone have any experience on how kids can become more into reading the news and learning about the world?

Other People's Kids at Public Play Places?
Question - How do I better handle this/similar situations in this future? Or do I just get used to this/other parents? I took my toddler (14m, M) to the library to play with others and pick out a few books. Everything was great until another kid was pulling up and standing using M for leverage. I gently removed the other kid and handed him a toy, it kept happening. Other kid's parent is not around. I eventually turned my back to the other kid to completely disengage. M seemed confused but otherwise fine, I was concerned about potential injury since the other kid was larger and fairly persistent.

Dog jumped on baby
Long story short my dog jumped over my baby and his paw landed on her eye. She was sleeping so it was closed but she has red marks on eyebrow and bottom eyelid. She woke up startled but didn’t cry, I grabbed her and she was awake for a few minutes just looking around. Her actual eyeball isn’t red or watery, and she’s opening it with no problem or fussiness. I think she’s more than likely okay but can anyone offer up advice/opinions for me? I do plan on calling her doctor tomorrow morning

Legoland California.
Talk to me about Legoland Cali. Kid is 5, lego-obsessed, we're looking at a 3 night stay in the Legoland California Hotel. Have you done it? Is the fast pass type thing worth it for the park in summertime? Is the hotel cool? Give me all the good info.

What's your poop trick?! I'm desperate!
We've done everything online recommended and the prune juice or Karo syrup the doctor said to try, but I only did the Karo syrup once... I just feel like it's too high in sugar for a little one. My baby is 7 weeks old and mainly breastfed with 1-2 bottles a day of formula when day feeds her. What tricks or tips do you have for advice or thay works for your LO? We're going on 5 days and baby is angry and vocal about it.
