Is it appropriate to ask a teacher to give my son harder work?

My son is in Kindergarten and really enjoys math. When he’s at home he keeps asking me to give him math problems. He can add and subtract double digit numbers in his head. Can multiply numbers in his head, subtract into the negatives, can do word problems involving money/counting. I don’t even teach him any of it, he just figures out how to do it all in his head and keeps surprising me When his school assignments come home they are only adding and subtracting numbers up to 10 and have visuals to help the kids do it. (I.e. 5+3=?and utilizes a number line to help). Would it be weird of me to reach out to his teacher and ask for him to be given harder material? I don’t want it to come off like I don’t think she knows what she’s doing or that I think my child is overly special… but am I doing him a disservice by not asking? Especially because math is something he thinks is fun. I hate math… can’t relate lol

Why do so many companies stop their footed two way pajamas at 6-9 months?

I don’t get it! Old Navy has my favorite pajamas ever and I was so sad to learn that they only go up to size 6-9 months. Both my husband and I are very tall, so our poor 7 month old twins are in the 98th percentile for height. We’re having a really hard time finding pajamas that fit them that aren’t two pieces. We’re just not ready for that yet. I’ve found a few from Carters, but even then the 12 month ones fit lengthwise, but it feels like you’re stuffing your baby into them! Are they supposed to be string beans at that age?? My boys have an average amount of chunk, but we’re really testing those zippers. Any suggestions?

The fastest thing in the universe

Some people believe that the fastest thing in the universe is light. They're wrong. It's actually tiny baby hands stealing food off your plate. I know, because I just had my GODDAMN POTATO SALAD STOLEN FROM MY PLATE. He just stuck his whole hand in my food and put it in his mouth. First it was my mashed potatoes the other night, now it's my potato salad, next it'll be my fries!

So what’re we putting in our baby’s baskets for Easter?

Little girl will be 9 months for her first Easter. I’m curious what other people will be putting in their baby’s Easter baskets if Easter is something you celebrate. I’ve asked friends with young kids too and they didn’t have anything in mind yet.

I don’t even know how to title this. Embarrassing question?

I have a childhood habit that I never outgrew… I still suck my thumb. Mainly just to sleep but sometimes if I’m really anxious or when I’m watching something. Is this something I should avoid doing in front of my kid as he grows older? I know it’s not “normal”. No one knows and I lead normal life, have a really good job, a lot of great friends. But if we’re having a movie night at home and I start sucking my thumb is that a big deal?

Is it normal for a 14 year old to only shower once every two weeks and not care?

I was having a conversation with 2 ladies today and one said her son only showers every two weeks and she was taking him to a therapist and the other mom said that was normal and all teenage boys are gross like that. So is it true? Are most teenage boys like that? I said I didn’t think it was normal or healthy but I don’t really know any teenage boys bathing habits all that well unless someone literally has a bad stench I wouldn’t know. My kids are younger but now I’m very curious.

Should I bring my 2 & 4 yo daughters to my grandma’s wake?

As the title says my grandmother recently passed and tomorrow is her wake. I’ve been debating if I should bring my two daughters to the wake. My primary concern is if they get antsy during the service. Also I haven’t fully discussed death with them yet. I know they’ve seen it (Disney movies) but don’t think they fully understand. Wondering what others have done? Or what you’d suggest?
