My 5 yo wants to get rid of all her toys. Would you allow this?

So my kid has been asking to get rid of all her toys. Like pretty much everything except a couple games and puzzles. She says shes sick of taking care of her toys and just doesnt want to deal with organizing them. She says they have plenty of toys at school she can play with and shed rather just do art and kitchen science projects at home. I mean, it sounds like really solid logic and I understand where shes coming from. But the idea if a kid without toys feels kind of weird. I was going to keep a box of stuff in case she changed her mind, but when I ask to see what she likes best she says stuff like "I dont even want to deal with that, I can just use the doll at school" and goes on to boast how her room will look more like the rest of our minimalist house. Would you let your kid just get rid of all their toys?

Please tell me having 2 kids is not the end of the world

Last week my husband (28) and I (28) just found out we’re expecting baby number 2. This was a very unplanned pregnancy and so far I feel nothing but devastation and absolute fear. My daughter (2.5) is such a blessing and we’ve been on the fence about wanting another. I had such horrible PPD with her and can honestly say that there was nothing enjoyable about the newborn stage. I was having constant panic attacks and still do when she gets sick or has off days. I am already having trouble sleeping because I wake up with horrible panic attacks. I already think I hear a baby crying and it’s miserable. I don’t really have anyone to talk to and was just hoping for reassurance from those with more than one child. That it’s going to be okay and that it was all worth it... Thanks ♥️

What are some of the “bad habits” that work for you?

We get told since the birth of our kids that we don’t want to instill “bad habits” in our kids. For ages I was worried about so many things because the internet told me it was bad. So far I haven’t ruined my kid so fingers crossed.... but, I mean she’s only 7 months old so I guess there’s time 😂 P.s. I don’t think there is such thing as “bad habits” just habits that no longer work for your family. P.p.s. Sorry if this has been posted before I’m new to the sub!

Please help, new father with a question.

My 6-month-old is a bundle of joy If she's being held or carried. If I put her down and her swing or her rocker, she acts like she's being murdered. Like blood curdling screams. I don't mind carrying her all day, but I have housework to get done since my wife is at work. No amount of interaction with baby while she's in a swing will get her to calm down. The only thing is picking her up. Are these just crocodile tears for attention? or is there something else going on that I need to be more attentive to? Thank you for your help, sometimes I feel like I'm over my head.

How did you get your kid to not lose their mind getting a covid test?

We were exposed to covid through my foster sons birth mom at their last visit and we all have to be tested as my kids could have exposed others at school and my husband at work. We tried to go last night but my three year old lost her shit about it when they attempted and the workers basically said then we can’t test her, so then they tried my 6 year old and same result (actually worse cause he’s a big kid and he is not afraid to hit an adult who he feels is threatening his safety trying to stick something up his nose). They told us to come back later, would test me or my husband because of our screaming and crying children. How do I deal with this? We need tests because without it my husband can’t get covid leave.
