Prom dresses
My wife and I are helping my daughter shop for prom dresses, and we are on totally different pages. My wife is the conservative one - she’s on the hunt for a very unrevealing dress, “classic” as she would say (“matronly” as my daughter would say). I understand the hesitation, but I am fine with my daughter wearing something more revealing/modern. She’s a good kid, understands that there are appropriate dresses for certain events. I just think she should be free to wear something in line with modern fashion, even if it shows more than my wife would like. (This also came up in swimsuit shopping for spring break.) However, I don’t want to take my daughter’s side vs my wife! Trying to tiptoe that line. Advice is welcome!

Children and riding lawn mowers
I have a pretty flat yard and riding lawn mower. If I use my baby carrier to strap my baby to me and he is also wearing ear protection rated for aviation, at what age would it be okay to mow with him strapped to me? We also have hats, sunscreen and sun glasses for him to wear. Just trying to get a general opinion... Thanks!

My friends baby has no food
Posting for a friend. If you have any or see any, I will pay cost and shipping immediately. They sent me this text: Hello. I am writing this as an SOS. LO has been diagnosed with severe food allergies. We have been in the hospital for a week. He can only have very specific formula. The brand names are puramino, neonate, and elecare. They are sold out almost everywhere in the country but some Walmarts and Buy Buy Babies have them. I am asking everyone I know to please please please check your local stores asap and buy all of it you can find. I will pay you anything. I am desperate to feed my baby and I’m so scared he is going to starve. The hospital doesn’t even have a solution. Please please help me if you can. I am forever grateful for any help

Our dog just died
As the title says. Our dear loved Wally just passed away today unexpectedly while he was at doggy daycare. My dilemma is he was at doggy daycare for the weekend because we are getting in a flight in the morning to take our 2&5 year old to Disney, when do I tell them? TIA

What’s too expensive to put on a registry?
I’m having a hard time finding a stroller. As someone who walks every day as a nanny it’s important to me that I have a great one but I don’t want to break the bank too much. How much is too much for a registry item? I’m looking at the mockingbird single stroller and it’s $395. I have two other items that expensive (10 year car seat $299 and a rocking recliner for nursery that’s $399) Is it rude to put items like that on a registry?

Just grocery vent
I hate grocery shopping anymore. Why the heck does a small can of veggies have to cost so much? Not going into the price of meat even if I bought the hamburger for cheap. It's silly. I walked out with half a cart of groceries for just under $300. That's without diapers, toilet paper, fresh food minus a bag of apples, and bread items. That amount of canned veggies and meat will last us nearly 3 months with how much oatmeal and lentils I can use to stretch things, but freaking A Batman...

How to stop the house smelling like… well… crap.
Turns out, my baby is allergic to the air fresheners I usually use. What tricks do you have for keeping your place smelling nice that are hypoallergenic?

I don’t know what to do
I am a 27 year old mother of 2 (girl, 4 years and boy, 2 years). I work full-time, hybrid so some in the office and some at home. My stress levels at home with my kids are becoming very high. I get so angry and annoyed when they do kid things like mess up the house, fight with each other, etc. I’m on Zoloft (150mg) and take a beta blocker as needed (was prescribed by doc for the stressed and angry moments). I may just ask about getting these increased or switched to something else because while my depressive mood has gotten better, the anger/stress feels bad. I hate feeling like a bad mother every day. But I do. I yell and get upset at the kids. No I don’t hurt them but yelling and being angry and unapproachable is pretty bad too. I dunno what I expect from this post. I just am struggling and not sure what to do. Thanks for reading if you did.

For those who tracked baby’s sleep
I have been tracking my babe’s (now 9 mo) sleep for 5 months now and find it helpful in reminding me when he is likely nearing a nap and approaching bed time. For others who have done this- when did you stop and how 😂
