Anyone else with traumatic birth experiences, how did you deal with the grief?
Trigger warning. I gave birth via emergency c section to my daughter 2 weeks ago, and I’m really struggling with the trauma of what happened. I had a placenta abruption, and I was taken in an ambulance to an unknown hospital, alone without my husband in the ambulance while bleeding out. There was so much blood. I thought I was losing my life and my baby. She was born within 15 minutes of being at the hospital. No one would tell me what was happening. It was the scariest moment of my life. I’m dealing with a lot of ptsd from what happened. I cry many times a day because I can’t stop reliving it. I have a therapy session scheduled and plan to start some medication as per my doctors suggestions. What else can I do/anything that has helped any of you with traumatic labors? I feel like I’m mourning not being able to have natural births and the fact that now the amount of biological children I can have is limited.

The love just hit
I never had that immediate unconditional love when my little bean was born, I loved him but it was more of a surface level love. But earlier when I was changing his nappy I just got this wave of love, it might be period hormones or the fact tomorrow is a year since my mum died but it was just this amazing rush of love. I remembered looking at him when he was being weighed about 20 minutes after I’d given birth and thinking, what the hell have I got myself into. And now I’m sitting here with my 5 month old little bean, who I’m always told is a happy calm baby wondering how I got so lucky

UPDATE: I’m at my wits end
A couple of months ago, I posted how frustrated I was that my LO was constantly fussy. Since then, he’s learned to crawl and is doing a lot better! He still can be fussy but overall he has been a lot happier. Hope this continues! Thanks to all those who read/commented on my last post

Do you let your baby play with dishes (safe stuff: bowls, pans, spatulas) in the kitchen?
My 9 month old has recently started crawling and hence, discovered the kitchen and that the cupboards open. Of course we have knives up high and cleaning stuff locked away but she LOVES to pull all my bowls and pots and pans out, throw them all over the floor and clang them around. On one hand, I love that she’s having fun. On the other, I hate my dishes touching the ground. 😣❤️😊 God, I love this baby lol

One kid 20 months old, the other one week old
I was sitting nursing my newborn while my husband took our first grocery shopping and suddenly realized that he goes back to work next week. (Lack of paternity leave sucks.) I'm recovering well, but probably not to chasing a toddler status by any stretch of the imagination. And he requires chasing. Doesn't like TV shows at all, loves to be outside, typical little boy. At the same time, our little lady (who doesn't yet weigh enough for any carrier, sling, wrap, etc) cluster feeds and very much needs mom almost 24/7. How did you manage having two so close together? I plan on wearing baby girl once she's heavy enough, but that's 12 ounces and possibly a couple months in the future right now.

10 month old suddenly waking up, WIDE AWAKE, between 2 to 4 a.m
He stays up for 1 to 2 hours at least, when he does this, too. Is this because he just learned to crawl 2 weeks ago? Is it that he's teething? Or is this just another regression? I'm losing my sanity and patience. I have never gotten more than a week of him sleeping through the night, before the next trial starts happening to throw it all off again. I'm tired, I'm 24 weeks pregnant, and I just want sleep NOW, before the new baby arrives. I'm just so exhausted, angry and overwhelmed without proper sleep :( any advice would be welcomed and appreciated! 😴😔😭

Shaving, what age is the right age?
What age did your daughters start shaving? I noticed a few months back that my daughter(10) had developed armpit hair. I've not mentioned anything because I didn't want her being self conscious, although she is very vocal with me about the changes in hair she is going through in her body. She had a bath earlier and I've just gone to run my own and my razor was in the bottom of the bath. I don't want my baby to grow up, but equally I don't want her self conscious of her body hair. It should be noted that I'm not an avid shaver because I'm just too damn lazy, although she knows I shave my armpits occasionally.

3 car seats across in the back row - has anyone done this before?
My wife and I have a 5 seat mid size SUV and we were wondering if it was possible to do 3 car seats (probably a mix of convertible/infant). We just bought our SUV last year and we have our first child who is just getting to the convertible car seat age. We are not sure if we want more than 2 at this stage but if we do, wouldn't we have to upsize the SUV? If we had 3, then it would be two convertibles and an infant in the back. Thanks in advance.
