So what are we supposed to do with all these teeth?
My 6yo lost her 4th tooth recently, and we do the whole tooth fairy song and dance. The tooth fairly leaves a dollar folded into a little origami critter, and the kiddo just loves it. Naturally, we reflexively tucked that first tooth away in a little box, as it seemed like the thing to do. But now I've got this box of four baby teeth rattling around in my nightstand like little serial killer souvenirs, and I'm wondering "what are we really supposed to do with these?" Has anyone's parents ever handed over a tiny envelope of teeth to them when they're grown up and thought "oh, that's so nice."

My kids love their Harkla Sensory Body Sock! Neither are ASD but they still love it. My son has ADHD and uses it to sleep and both use it when they are feeling like they are about to enter the dreaded "red zone"! #ASD #Sensory {Affiliate} https://t.co/hQmb4ssLuU https://t.co/GCBsBs2iF0

Calling daycare “school”
I’m just wondering if any other people are running into this or if it’s just a thing local to my midwestern area of the US. I meet a mom at the park and she says that her two year old is in school and she has to go pick her up. My close friend says her daughter has been in school since she was one year old. I was talking with my sister about when my niece would be starting preschool and she said at 4 years old. We ask my SIL when nephew will be going to preschool and she says her son has been in school or several years now (he’s three). All of these children attend the local daycare. Is daycare called school now?

I hate our new life and I'm consumed by regret.
My husband had a vasectomy scheduled and the night before we did one last "check in" to make sure we were still on the same page. We decided that "just one more" was in our plans so the appointment was cancelled. We ended up with twins. I hate every second of every day, except for when I get to either be alone or with our first/oldest child (son, 2 years). I love my time with our oldest but I hate the parent I've become. I have no patience anymore. I'm rarely happy and it's obvious. I hate that every request our son makes is met with "later", "wait" or "be patient" because we're both too busy taking care of the twins. Everything has changed so dramatically and this new life we're navigating is not one I would pick again if given the chance.

Becoming a parent in your late 30s
How was it? Specifically keeping up with all the high energy that a child brings well into your 40s. I just turned 35 and my husband and I are now TTC. Just looking for those of you who became parents later in life and how your experience was. Thanks!

Please help! 2 month shots and she is wailing in pain every time she moves her leg.
Our LO did so well at the office, however, since about two hours ago she cries/wailing/screaming in pain when she moves her leg that had the shots. What are some remedies or things that could help her? The ped did say that if there is fever or pain that we can use acetaminophen, is that something anyone else has used? Any advice for those who had LO with the same happen?? I feel so bad for her and she has been sleeping a lot since the appointment. I couldn’t get her to take a bottle earlier after her nap and seems the only way to soothe her is her laying on my chest with legs bent or nursing. Thanks in advance!

Nursing moms - do you pump too?
I’m a nursing mom (using nipple shields unfortunately) to a 8 week old. The lactation consultant I saw last recommended I pump until my boobs are soft if my LO doesn’t do so (in order to protect my supply). I usually pump at night (and get 5-7oz from 2 wake-up’s) but don’t want to pump during the day if I can avoid it. What do you do?? Thanks!

I went to my OB/GYN for PPA/PPD today.
And she was so incredibly kind. She listened, commiserated, gave advice, and offered to shut the lights off and leave me alone for 30 minutes so I could take a nap without feeling guilty. I feel validated. I feel understood. I have a better idea of where I need to improve in my parenting relationship with my partner. I'm starting a low dose of medication to help get me out of the rut I'm in. I made appointments with a therapist and a psychiatrist. I cried a lot today, but I'm sitting here with LO asleep in my arms, and I'm a bit calmer than I was yesterday. I'm hopeful. I'm glad I finally asked for help.

Activities for a 1 month old
So me and my babies day just consist of her sleeping, me waking her up every two hours for 15 min or more of she’s hungry and a bath. I try to to do little activities for her in those 15-30 min she tends to stay awake. Like listening to a bit of music, talking, and tummy time. But toys don’t yet interest her and I’m not sure what other activities I should do with her to stimulate her more or if it’s fine we don’t play much. I just feel bad her day doesn’t consist of a lot of things. Advice?

When did you start maternity leave?
Or when are you planning to stop working for maternity leave? I'm a therapist for children with developmental disabilities. I only work 2 days a week but they are 10 hour shifts. My job is pretty physical sometimes and I can be outside in the sun for long periods of time. I'm 32 weeks and am trying to work as long as I can. Once I stop I won't be returning to work at all. I can stop working whenever I want but I'm just wondering how long everyone else is planning on working?
