6 pack of beer for father's day
My partner generally puts in the minimum amount of effort in our relationship. For mother's day this year he went and got a small bouquet of tulips the day before - no attempt to plan anything and of course he forgot the one thing i like to do every mother's day is go for a walk on the ocean. I'm done trying to model the kind of relationship I want hoping forever that it will be reciprocated. I want to put in the same (minimal) effort he does. So, I'm thinking a 6 pack of beer, that I run out to get the day before, would be more or less equivalent. Thoughts?

Both parents WFH with 6mo - possible or crazy?
Currently pregnant with my first, but I'll be going back to work when baby is around 6mo. DH and I work from home full time, would love to know others' experiences on trying to manage childcare. Our preference would be to have baby at home with us and not bring him to a daycare. Husband's schedule is usually meeting-packed and busy, while mine is definitely on the lighter side (probably 15-25hrs/week of actual work). I know this will heavily depend on baby's disposition/personality as well. Has anyone managed to make this arrangement work? We're open to hiring a nanny as well, to give us a break during work hours or in the afternoons/evenings.

Can’t stop crying
I rarely cry but I broke down into tears this morning. I’m exhausted. Single mom of two young kids. Trying to finalize a divorce from a narcissist, I work FT, looking for a new place to rent, drive my kids to activities and our family dog passed yesterday alone while nobody was home. I feel terrible, broken, overwhelmed and just so so sad.

Husband has been a jerk since baby was born 3 weeks ago
I am too tired and too busy to write a long post about all the ways in which my husband has been a jerk since i gave birth 3 weeks ago. But here is a quick snapshot which sums it up. I was breastfeeding the baby and asked if he could bring me a glass of water. He said he's not my slave and I can get it myself then walked away looking disgusted. After several snide remarks from him, I cried and asked him to be nicer to me. He said I have no idea how "lucky I am to have him." Then he added that I need to "man up and grow a pair of balls and stop being so emotional." I am so blessed to have such a perfect and wonderful baby. I just wish i had chosen a better husband.

I am so fucking tired of my kid coming home and not eating dinner 2-3 times a week because she’s being given 1000 calories of SHIT at 3 in the afternoon!!! I’M GOING TO FUCKING LIGHT A BITCH ON FIRE OH MY GOD. STOP BLATANTLY DISRESPECTING THIS SIMPLE THING THAT I AM ASKING!!!!!!!!!!!! “Oh well we have to have a little treat every time we’re together hehehhehehe.” THAT MEANS YOU WON’T GET TOGETHER WITH HER ANYMORE BITCH!!!!

How did you decide whether to have another?
Our daughter is six months old, and while we originally wanted 2-3, but I’m so tired and i can’t imagine doing this with a toddler. I love my daughter with my whole heart, and i want what is best for her. How did you decide whether to grow your family? How old was your first when you decided to have another? Do you ever feel truly ready?

Sleeping on her belly!
My daughter is almost 6mo old. She rolls over and weve now fully transitioned into a crib in her own room. I always put her on her back, but she almost always rolls over. People say it's ok, but **IT SCARES THE SHIT OUT OF ME!** If I see that she's rolled over, I cant relax. I usually try and turn her anyways, but my efforts are usually futile.

What’s one weird thing your toddler has been doing lately?
I’ll start. He is obsessed with our feet. He needs to have his nose and mouth on our toes and nothing will stop him. He also makes weird baby dinosaur sounds while he is inhaling our feet. It’s weird and I want it to stop but I know I will miss it when it’s over.

I really miss my babies
So I let my kids go with their dad for a few days and I’m feeling sick without them. I hate that when they are over there he barley keeps in touch. Am I over worrying?

A little lost
Hi I have a 1mo old newborn and don't have much experience when it comes to taking care of baby's. Everything I find online seems to be the same generic answers. My son seems to cry and grunt or cough constantly unless eating or sleeping. This has been going on the past couple days and nothing we do seems to get him to stop. Has anyone else had this type of experience before? What helped?
