I hate my C Section scar and wish everyone would stop telling me how to feel about it

I recently had a c section and I’ve been pretty bummed out about having this scar and my body being permanently altered. I honestly hate it. I can’t stand to look at it, it feels like my body is ruined. What makes me even more annoyed is that everyone around me keeps on telling me how it’s not a big deal and that it’s fine because both my baby and I are fine. It’s not fine! Of course I’m happy the baby and I are alright that’s a baseline requirement. That doesn’t mean I have to be happy about this scar. It honestly makes me more angry that people keep on telling me how I should feel about something that’s permanently damaged my body. I have a right to my feelings and I’m just because I’m a mom doesn’t mean I’m not a woman first. A woman who liked her body and is upset that there’s a massive scar on her abdomen with a bulge above it.

I promised my sister I will take care of my nephew, now I'm scared and need advice

Hi i'm 22(f) and my family has been through a lot i lost my mother and big sister in a month because of covid, it is really hard but we are trying to keep ourselves calm and positive for the baby my sister left us, she was pregnant and when she got covid doctors made an emergency c-section so they could intubate her and to save the baby, well my nephew will be home the next week and I promised my sister I will take care of him if she couldn't make it. I'm really excited and happy but also nervous and scared, i don't know anything about how to take care of a baby and I want to be the best aunt/mom for this baby so I can make proud both my sister and mother and to fulfill my promise, if you could give me any advice i would appreciate it a lot. Thank you in advance.

Many teachers report that they are repeatedly told how important they are and how they should prioritize their well-being, and then asked to do the exact opposite. https://t.co/dR9jru9925

who else? In order for your kid (ages 2-5) to take a nap you must lay down with them

(I know that after 3 they are a "child" but 2-5 is what I consider toddler) My girlfriend thinks it is rare for people to have to lay down (or be in the same room)with their 3 year old in order for her to go to sleep...I want to see... (Can't do a poll in this sub reddit?)

7 year gap! Is that a problem?

So I'm 26 yo. I have a 7 year old daughter. My partner of 5 years has no children of his own. We are thinking we may want to try for a baby, But that would mean a 7+ age difference for our children.. I really want her to have a sibling but I'm worried with the age gap.. Also we are both happy with just her too. Any advice?

My wife and I’d second child is going to be born with some significant heart defects

Among other things, a slew of tests and scans have shown that our second son is going to born with some significant heart defects. We’re having a tough time getting through, but we’ve finally gotten to the point where we can make it through the day without getting emotional, so we’re able to focus on the prognosis. We’re in one of the best areas of the country for these sorts of issues, so we know we are in good hands, but it doesn’t make it much easier. I’m not sure what I expect to gain from this post, maybe just some support. Anything positive you can offer is appreciated.

The house system has been a powerful model for giving students of all ages a sense of camaraderie and belonging. Educators say it's helped reduce bullying as well. https://t.co/436gDFq0Ha

New Father

Hello all! I am new to this Reddit space, and I’ve only ever made one post on here before, which was asking about information concerning prenatal vitamins for the mother of my child. Now I am here again because I really just want any general information that anybody would be willing to share! I’m really just trying to inquire into the experiences of everybody here, because my partner is close to 10 weeks so we’re close to reaching the first trimester, and yeah I just wanna know whatever information anybody has about being a new father or information about parenting or helpful tips, stuff to look for stuff to research, anything at all! Thank you to everyone who helped me on my last post!
