Anxiety is a normal and healthy function, according to @LDamour, and much of the anxiety that teenagers express is a sign that they are frightened of things that are, in fact, scary.@dfkris https://t.co/kf6qXqo0Ck

Bathing together
What's your opinion on this? If you did practice this? How did you bathe? Did you as a parent wear a swimwear or just went full naked? My son, he's 8 months old. With his teething and everything, he became very fussy. So, when it came to water, that he used to love, now it's an issue. So, I thought maybe with me he will be calmer. But I don't know. How hygienic is it? I know I should take a shower prior, my husband will be next to me, to give me our baby and take him as we stop bathing. Any advices?

Am I wrong for letting my kids playing with the throw pillows?
My husband gets upset when the kids play with the throw pillows on the floor? I find it very normal that kids want to play with cushions, throw pillows or blankets! Sometimes these are their best and most creative games. I love to watch they play like that. The other day my daughter had built herself a cosy “calm down” corner where she could go when she has big emotions. I thought it was lovely idea! My husband saw it and told her to put the pillow back on the sofa right away. She cried so hard, it broke my heart. It does not make sense to me that they have to keep the pillows hospital grade clean. They are throw pillow after all, you throw them around! It’s right there in the name! Am I wrong?

When you see any pet in public how have you educated your child on interacting?
Serious question. I think would be important to discuss as a lot of owners don’t want to deal with kids that just run up and don’t ask also the way you pet or greet an animal as some children and adults don’t know how to correctly approach a dog/cat/whatever pet

Bit of an odd question, but how do I teach my child the difference between hot and cold?
My daughter is 2 years old and anytime i try to feed her, she gives the food back, telling me that it's "hot". This has put me in an odd spot because I'm not quite sure how to explain that her food isn't hot. (It's a peanut butter, banana wrap, so it's not a hot food) I tried to explain, but she gave it back saying it's hot. Ugh lol. Kids are confusing!

Appropriate dating age?
My daughter will be 12 in December. Upon starting school this year, she started showing interest in boys and dating. Previously having zero interest! Lol So she has a “boyfriend” now. Which they’re in middle school so I know it’s not anything serious. So she asked my husband and I if we would take them out to get ice cream together. I see absolutely nothing wrong with this, but I was talking to my mom friend and she was like “what?!” She said that’s way too young, and I personally don’t agree. I had boyfriends in middle school, we’d hang out in groups or at football games. Am I wrong here? Now I’m feeling a little confused. -And yes, we have very open communication about sex, boundaries, healthy relationships and the need for BC when the time comes.

I think he relapsed
Things are so good when he's clean. He's supposed to start Suboxone Wednesday. He won't admit it, won't take a drug test, but starting to act like his junky persona. He's been a complete asshole all week. I don't want to do this alone. I don't know how to. It's hard to me just to make it through a single day alone with the kiddo. I'm thinking of getting a week in a hotel but it's so expensive and it won't be an easy week. I just don't know what to do.

Grandma only wants to spend time with grandchild
My mom, only wants to spend time with our child and not us. Our child is the only grand child. (And my father died a long time ago). Our kid is about to be 4 years old and we’ve tried a lot of things to address this in the past. We have tried to all hang out but it seems forced. I have noticed that sometimes she seems open about hanging out with me and grand baby but not including my spouse. I feel like we are good people etc. and can’t seem to find a reason as to why she behaves this way. We tried to invite her to dinner over the holiday and her response was “we’ll see” I have xys suddenly come up. “ But yet will ask to pick her up .? I have tried talking to her but she seems defensive or completely avoids the conversation. What should I do?
