Keeping your car in pristine condition can be a tricky task in itself, then add some messy little ones to the mix, and it can feel like the cleaning never ends. https://t.co/YUmAEfpQ4f

“If we are serious about a more balanced and equitable society, where men are really promoted as carers and nurturers, not just as fathers, but in the workplace too, then there needs to be a change from the ground up, when boys (and girls) are young.” https://t.co/qSIjoWLuxX https://t.co/Q8mBemxO5l

"Mama, I just have one quick question"
Me: Ok, if it's quick, I have to check the grill in a minute. 4.5 year old: Well, I just want to know how the earth was made and why it's here. Also how did life start.

What's your experience of having an IUD?
Potted history - I want to be sterilised as I have PTSD from severe birth trauma / 12 months of screaming and no sleep from my first son. I also want to be able to enjoy sex with my husband without worrying about pregnancy. GP has advised against sterilisation as it's higher risk than my husband getting a vasectomy. Husband's on it but things move slowly. I can't take birth control pills due to other meds I take, so its an IUD or condoms. We use both as I'm so terrified of getting pregnant again. BUT. HOLY CRAP. Having the thing put in was on a par with my first birth, and waaaaay worse than my second. Every time we have sex I bleed lightly and am in pain for a couple of days. Not exactly what I had in mind for our sex life. My libido is waaaaay down now. I'm just having my first post-IUD period and currently have been bleeding heavily for 9 days (I flooded my _menstrual cup_ , ffs). I was warned of some of the side effects, but seriously, DUDE. I am NOT OK with this.

We really need to rethink teaching "stranger danger" to kids. Not every "stranger" is a kidnapper, pedophile, rapist, etc! In fact, the majority are good people. #parenting #parentingtips https://t.co/BdIialB9nO

Students have the ability to find out which courses make no sense, and how people in the real world are actually making a living. They have the ability to easily do outside research, even in fifth grade, and to discover that the teacher is just plain wrong. -@ThisIsSethsBlog

I hate being a Mum
The title says it all really. I'm a full time masters student and a single parent to a gorgeous 2.5 y/o girl. And, I hate to admit this...but, I hate it. I just put her to bed and there's tears in my eyes writing this because I care (obviously I care) but it's so.tiring. I'm close to my family but they live 500 miles away. I've just moved to a new city and don't have anyone to watch her for me. Sometimes I just want an extra hour's sleep, or hug to reassure me that I'm doing a good job. I'm just in a really dark place right now and the responsibility is crushing me.
