How do I get over feeding my baby store bought food?
I try to keep up on going homemade, it's hard. She'll end up just eating the same thing for days and I hate it. I'm a single Mom now, and just don't have the time to keep up with it. I'll get my baby only organic stuff, but I still feel like I'm failing her. I ordered her some HappyBaby food items, and some organic gerber things. They'll be delivered in a couple hours. How do I get over myself?

3 Year Old Daughter said some pretty disturbing things this morning.
This morning after breakfast I was talking to my 3 year old daughter and throughout the course of the conversation she said some pretty upsetting things. She said, basically back to back to back, that "she didn't like herself", "she was ugly", and "she liked to hurt herself". When I asked her to show me how she hurt herself she started digging her fingernails into her skin. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL? She just turned 3 in September. Has anyone experience anything remotely like this? She seemed pretty happy beforehand and she's seemed fine since... maybe a little sadder but that could just be me projecting since I can't stop thinking about it. I don't know which would be worse, that someone has been telling her these things or if she came up with them all on her own.

C-section validation
I had a c-section almost 6 months ago. I was never a person who set expectations or had a specific birth plan. For me, it was always "whatever is healthiest for my little one and myself". He was breeched and never flipped. For some reason ,whenever talking about the day he was born, I've recently been catching myself saying "when I gave birth, well, had a c-section". Almost correcting myself as though I didn't give birth and invalidating what I went through. It's horrible and I didn't even think that was in the back of my conscience until now. Just my thought for the day and wanted to share that, yes, c-section births are so valid. Hopefully putting this out to the world will get that negativity out of my head!

Iām all for being flexible butā¦.
Itās very annoying when things mess up our naps and ultimately the whole day. For instance, we have a family dinner at 2 tomorrow which is right in the middle of our napā¦who has dinners at 2 anyways??

I asked my husband if he wanted to meet me in our room for a bit after we got home from our family outing.
I told him I'd light the candles and put something special on. I made the sexy eyes at him and talked in the sexy voice. He was very excited. I had the candles lit, had put on a comfy jersey, and told him we were cleaning the room and packing things (we are moving soon). He took it well and laughed. He said he should be wise to my tricks by now, but I got him. :) One room down for packing/cleaning, though!

Can there be room for a full time career again after becoming a mum?
Hi all, I would really appreciate some advice or to hear your own experiences. Iām 34, have always been an overachiever, and rose to seniority pretty quickly in my career (advertising). I worked in a VERY fast-paced environment ranging from 50 hr weeks (normally) to 60 hr weeks (deadlines). I had to resign midway through my pregnancy because the stress & pressure of the job was affecting my physical health. Then the pandemic happened and I stayed home with my child for a year. Now that my daughter is happily settled into daycare, I find myself at a crossroad career-wise. I could return to my former profession, but in all honesty it would not allow time to care for my family. Are there any career options with flexibility? How do 9-5 parents deal with school days ending at 3:30 PM or if a child becomes ill? I am 100% willing to start from scratch or take a pay cut in order to build a career that allows for more flexibility.

Affectionate toddler
My 13 month old daughter recently started giving me and her dad hugs and kisses. This was cute at first and we were fine when she started hugging and kissing relatives like her grandma and her uncle but now this is a problem because everywhere we go, she touches children without their consent. She made a boy cry once because she insisted on hugging him even though that boy didn't wanna hug her and she got aggressive. She will also go up to strange adults and try to give them affection. How do we teach her this is only okay with family?

My 3.5 year old is embarrassed of me pushing her swing at the park
Title says it all. My daughter, who has a very good relationship with me, suddenly acted embarrassed of me in public when other kids are around. Usually the kids are 4,5,6, years old. Yesterday the little girl seemed to be at least 10, she had walked to the park by herself so she was well older than my 3yo. Anyway, she gets in the swing and I go to push her and she whispers in an irritated tone āmomma donāt push me, I want her to push me. Go sit down.ā The girl is happy to push her because my daughter is very very cute and convincing. I donāt know what to do in this situation though? Also let it be known, I do let her swing alone and just stand back a lot. I also swing with her and push her on the swing when she asks me to. Anyway, it made me feel very sad. Does this usually happen so young? She isnāt overly spoiled either. Edit: typo

Birthday gift for 3 year old niece
Hello everyone, I have been searching for gifts to give my niece and narrowed it down to either one of three toys. The first one is Lego duplo animal creativity blocks, or Tegu wooden blocks, last is Magna-tiles. Which do you think is the better choice?

Toddler AND vacation?

Routine/Schedule
Is it bad to not have a routine/schedule for my baby? My son is almost 3 months and I donāt really pay attention to time or anything when he goes about his daily activities. I pretty much just act on his cues. If he seems tired, I put him to sleep. If he gives hunger cues Iāll feed him. Other than that we play, read books, do tummy time and baths in between naps. Should I have a clear cut schedule or is the way things are now fine? If I should have a schedule how would I go about implementing that? Heās breastfed by the way.
