I’m parked outside of a gym but I’ve never been to one.

What am I even supposed to do? I have no idea what I’m doing. I’m scared as shit but I know that I won’t lose weight if I don’t change my life style. I’ve been in the car for 30 minutes and I know I should go inside. I need a hand to hold 😪

A flight attendant got mad at us because we wouldn't let her hold our 3-month old baby.

It finally happened. I've heard these kinds of stories before but sometimes I didn't believe them. On a recent cross-country flight, my husband and I had to nicely say no to an eager flight attendant who wanted to hold our tiny 3-month old baby. We had to make excuses as to why we didn't want her to be held not once, but a few times. This woman REALLY wanted to hold our baby! Then, when we were getting off the plane, the lady was sulking and very cold towards us. She felt swindled out of something. I just don't understand this at all. What is wrong with some people??

Why did you decide on "No Visitors" the first few weeks after birth?

I'm an expecting FTM due summer next year. I keep seeing posts recommending no visitors for the first few weeks but didn't understand why. Most times I just see responses saying "Don't they remember what it was like when they brought their baby home??" or "I love my parents/in-laws but it was miserable!" I'm excited to be a new mom, and my partner a new dad. We're even more excited to have the support all of the grandparents. But I'm worried that I'm missing something and just wanted to know from experienced new parents: Why no visitors? What are those first few weeks like that I should be mindful of? Thanks in advance!

Pause. Pause some more. Notice who you are worrying about. Call out those worries. Which do you have control over? With those, what is your next step? Is there a step before that? Notice how your body and mind feels after deciding on your next step. https://t.co/iGOW5Ud2wH

Cool shared parenting moment at CVS

At the appointment to get my kids vaccinated and we were the first ones there. Another Dad rolls up with his kid, and after checking in we nodded to each other, than started talking about how we both had the same experience during quarantine. His kid, like ours, hasn't left the house this whole time. We both were so happy, and I could see on his (masked) face how relieved he was, and it was nice to finally meet a parent who was as quarantine crazy as we were. So excited to get the kids fully vaccinated and back to normal activities! It's been a looooong time. To those still waiting, it's almost over! Protect your kids and then get back to living!

Is 6pm a okay bedtime for a 2.5 year old toddler? No naps

My toddler is 2.5 years old. He spends half his day at nursery so I can work. When he is home he doesn’t want to nap but come 5pm he’s already getting a bit tired. Is 6pm an ideal bedtime? He wakes around 6:30/7am each morning. Should I let him stay awake til 7pm? That’s the bedtime he used to have when he did have an afternoon nap at 2pm (lasting an hour) What do you do with your toddler? What’s their sleep routine? My friend’s son is a year older, but has no bedtime at all. It depends entirely on what activities they are doing, sometimes they aren’t home til 10/11pm from visiting their family other times he’s in bed by 8.. I just wonder if I’m being a bit mean & tight!

Does anyone else feel blind rage when your family just…makes messes right after you clean?

I go in to work at noon today and the house was a wreck, so I spent my morning listening to an audiobook and cleaning. Picking up, emptying all the trash and recycling, scrubbing toilets, sweeping, wiping down counters and tables, doing dishes. H comes home at lunch, proceeds to leave melted cheese on the counter, and BroMos, I just saw red. I mean, he’s a very loving, caring guy, but I was cleaning when he left this morning-he wasn’t ignorant that I was choosing to use my time off to make our home nicer. What gives?
