This might not look like a cluster of wild ducks, but it’s still called the Wild Duck Cluster. Also known as Messier 11, this open star cluster’s 2000 stars are only loosely bound by gravity, leading to a short lifespan.

With the help of our NICER telescope on the @Space_Station, astronomers were able to see multimillion-degree X-ray spots merge on the surface of a magnetar. Observations showed that the crust on SGR 1830 is moving — similar to tectonic plates on Earth. https://t.co/aiQMKmYuXm https://t.co/E0jgXkjY0P

Thanks to women like Andrea Ghez and Nancy Grace Roman, we're taking a clearer look at the universe. Here's how we're building on their work to “autocorrect” telescope images—including those we'll take with @NASARoman: https://t.co/IA2WH897Ds https://t.co/86gRBP3h6L

We dare mighty things… together. On this #InternationalWomensDay, we recognize the brilliant women who have played critical roles in space exploration – from the “human computers” of the 1950s to the support, science, engineering, and leadership roles they serve in today. https://t.co/ODSzZVLJEm
