Flagstaff in August with a Dyer 24" What should I image?
So I'm not much of an astronomer, but my father is an enthusiast. For his birthday, I booked an hour with the Dyer 24" scope at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff. The observatory sends an employee to control the scope (obvs), and they can point it at whatever you select. I'd love any thoughts y'all have on...well, whatever would be cool in mid-August from 7,000 feet with this beautiful scope. Any recommendations? Appreciate any input. I guess the person from the Observatory will make suggestions, but I'm wondering what's in the realm of possibility. Thanks!

Comparing Hubble and James Webb telescope
There has been a lot of comparisons of the Hubble and James Webb telescopes. I was wondering, when the Hubble telescope become operational, did they have any idea what it's replacement would be like? Did NASA want to create the Webb telescope, but technology just wasn't advanced enough? Was it computing power? Was the technology not even invented yet? What limitations were there that the Hubble was the best design?

All five naked-eye planets will appear lined up (in order) in the morning sky tomorrow (Friday, June 24). The last time this rare planetary alignment occurred was way back in 2004. And it won't happen again for nearly 20 years.

On #NationalHydrationDay, we look back to the 1st flavored beverage consumed by American astronauts in orbit. In 1962 John Glenn drank an orange drink known as Tang. And no, NASA did not invent Tang, but we did make it cool. 😎 Read more 🧃: https://t.co/CZoCvrDntU https://t.co/rtPRrVCOWa
