Question about the moon.

Hey guys, im new to astronomy and im kinda obsessed with it lately. Last week i asked myself; if the sun is 8,3 minutes away from us, do we see the moon also that late? Only thing i could find about that was 1,3 seconds. Hope someone could give me the answer :)
