Yoga made a perfect day even better. I love watching them develop a practice of their own at such a young age. I found yoga much later in life. It is my honor and joy to share it with them. 🥰

A question for fellow yoga teachers
I am fairly new as a teacher, I’ve had a regular class for just under a year now. I love teaching and feel amazing whilst teaching, however I always leave class feeling so mentally drained with a headache. I stay hydrated, I teach gentle hatha so nothing too strenuous. I feel like my energy is completely drained out of me. Maybe I’m giving too much of my energy to my students or maybe taking on too much of their energy? Is there anyone else this happens to and can offer some advice?

Buti yoga
Does anyone have a practice that incorporates buti yoga? Is certified? Or knows more about the lineage of Buti? Looks exciting!

Best yoga techniques to stretch and relax the pelvic floor/pelvic muscles?
I'm a complete yoga noob, but I'm wondering if any of you might have any advice on the best exercises to relax the pelvic floor. It's always involuntarily tight for me, and it's causing issues. Many tanks in advance.

Advice on getting started after trauma, bipolar and heavy medication
I am wanting to start a yoga practice but I am struggling to get started. I have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder and I’m on a number of heavy medications that impact my motivation and energy level. I also have a trauma history. I’m quite unfit and inflexible. Does anyone have any recommendations for getting started with yoga and what form I should take up? I would love to have an increase in some positive energy. I recently spent 5 months in a psychiatric hospital mostly lying on my bed. I feel stuck in inertia which makes it hard to make a start. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Yoga is good for health
Happiness is based on good health. A person who is in agony all the time cannot unwind and focus on something else. A person appears to shrink and wall off from the outside world when they are uncomfortable or stiff in their bodies. Harmony cannot exist in an environment where there is tension. When we discuss health, we refer to both the physical and the mental aspects. A healthy individual is in touch with himself, radiates peace, and knows what he wants. After 3-4 years of practicing yoga at home, i finally made it out to a group class. And I cried. And I feel so good. And my love for yoga continues to grow. That's all. 😁😁😁

best hot yoga studio in NYC? First timer at Core Power this week cause it’s free and it seems like it’s everywhere. The vibes feel off. Curious if there are better studios around.

Are there any yoga moves which keeps your head mostly stable/upright?
*This post is not seeking medical advice - rather, I'm trying to find out if there's any yoga positions that will work with my situation.* I have a vestibular disorder; if I crane my head too far backwards, lean it to the side (one ear pointing to the ground), or tilt it too far forward (forehead pointing to the ground), I tend to get vertigo/other vestibular issues. It does NOT matter if I turn my head side to side (i.e., ears are level with each other). I'm very interested in yoga, and I tried it a few years ago, but I remember a lot of the moves craned my head back or forward. **Are there any yoga moves, in which your head stays relatively stable?** (again, fine to turn head to the side, just can't bend head too far forward or back, or put my ears towards the ground.) Thank you in advance for any information
