Mangroves are awesome. Found in coastal wetlands around the world, their sprawling roots provide sanctuary to a host of species and protect coastal communities from incoming storms. Mangroves mean life for nature and humans alike. BUT THERE’S MORE! With their incredible ability to store carbon, these forests are excellent at protecting our planet from the impacts of a changing climate.

💡In Okinawa, you will be able to see 3 types of sea turtles: the loggerhead sea turtle, the green sea turtle, and the hawksbill sea turtle. These are all endangered species. If you are fortunate enough, you will see a sea turtle🐢✨🤩 👉Can you guess the type of this one? Comment below your guess🥰👇 🎥: shuyanaoka #Wildlifeowners #wild

For most of her life, Ginger was made to walk on hot tarmac roads as a begging elephant and subjected to regular beatings, starvation, and a cruel apathy. However, a promising future awaited her when the Forest Department handed her over to Wildlife SOS for lifelong care at the Treatment Unit at Elephant Conservation and Care Centre in the cold winters of December 2021. Today, this geriatric elephant is under the professional care of our dedicated veterinary officers and elephant care staff. Our team is relieved to witness the almost 60-year-old pachyderm taking small, yet crucial steps in her healing journey. We honour Ginger as the Elephant of the Month for July and her remarkable milestones at Wildlife SOS! #elephant #elephants #saveelephants #savewildlife #wildlife #wildlifesos #wildlifesosindia #saveanimals #rescue #wildlifeconservation #conservation #asianelephant #indianwildlife #wildindia #indiananimals #rescuedanimal #endangered #wildlifeplanet #elephantofthemonth #ginger
