dougaitkenworkshop : (sound on pls) Flags and Debris opens today regenprojects by appointment. This body of art was created entirely in the last 10 months. It was so challenging for all of us. I found my oxygen in creativity. Making this body of work was so organic, one thing led to another, from cutting up found materials and transforming them into words and flags, to wrapping the human body in them to perform new choreographies I created with ladanceproject. And that lead to filming throughout Los Angeles in desolate empty places where we staged rough impromptu performances. I’ve never felt a period of time influence and shape a body of art in such an intense away. Thank you to everyone we’ve worked with over the last year…we found a way to share, express and create…peace, Doug

Looking forward to our solo exhibition with Daniel T. Gaitor-Lomack in March! You can see this beautiful wall-mounted sculpture in the gallery’s viewing room. “My work is a universal vision for the people and embodies a magnitude of cultural legacies I have been influenced by or subconsciously tapped to produce. I use performance, sculpture and installation as peace offerings for the world that we are constantly tossed in to strengthen the ties of humanity. I’m bringing found objects to life sculpting them into multi-dimensionally functional entities or beings, commanding the readymade and constructing/deconstructing assemblages right before the naked eye.”—Daniel T. Twin brothers and collaborators Gert and Uwe Tobias use large-scale woodcuts to explore the intersection between popular culture and Romanian folklore. Carnivalesque, mysterious, and nodding to the occult, their latest body of work is an otherworldly universe of hybrid creatures. https://t.co/ETstF3Sa7Z
