Be oblivious

I’ve worked for myself for a few years in the service industry and due to me being oblivious to what people mean I save myself a lot of stress “Someone else told me they’ll do the same work for cheaper!” “Oh great! You should call them” “What?” “You’d save some money by hiring your friend. It’s great for you “ “But I want you to do the work” “That’s great too! When do you want it done?” “But my cheaper friend...” “If you want to schedule with your friend you need to call them and not me” “But the price” “My price is the one I quoted you for, let me know if you decide between me or your friend “ “.” “Hope it goes well for you “ 9/10 times i get a call back and 9/10 time I don’t understand why they tell me why someone else is cheaper. Lol

Five things managers need to do to help employees feel appreciated: 1. Touch base early and often. 2. Give balanced feedback. 3. Address growth opportunities. 4. Offer flexibility. 5. Make it a habit. https://t.co/2he0ed2n3J

What do you guys think of this idea?

So I want to make a service that fills out job applications on company websites for college students and adults. The client will have to tell us what kind of job they want (business, CS) maybe job title as well and location of course. And I will outsource the work to other people. It will probably be like 20 dollars for 200 applications or something like that

It’s not long hours that hurts your children. The biggest impacts come when you’re distracted by work when you are with them. https://t.co/OjEvfPTmEt

It's being called the Helix — though some say it looks more like a soft-serve ice cream, or even the poop emoji. On the same day that Jeff Bezos gave notice he was stepping down as CEO, Amazon revealed another big twist: plans for a striking conch-like tower that will serve as the centrepiece of its HQ2 office complex in Arlington, Virginia. Inside, the building will feature meeting spaces and indoor gardens; outside, a network of pathways offers visitors the chance to scale a simulated Blue Ridge peak. See more at the link in bio. At Facebook, the best managers don’t design roles and fill them with people. They find talented people and design roles for around them. Here’s how they do it. https://t.co/nYbY85Usjp

Dream big, but start small. Developing "micro habits" can help you break down huge goals into achievable tasks. https://t.co/paqKMkiRR6
