What would you do in my position?
Im 31 with no college education and have been working a no-future retail job as a stock worker/shipper and reciever/handyman for lousy pay for the last 10 years I have very little experience in anything. I feel like a loser and a waste of life. And i have no idea what to do.... But... What i enjoy about my job is the using of tools to fix things, building furniture and making up displays by hanging photos, mirrors and decorative objects. I cant find any job near me without at least a few years experience. And on rare occasions where no experience is required, its not enough money. I have rent and bills to pay. I was thinking of starting a handyman business for odd jobs and whatever i can do for people. Can i run with this idea? How can i start?

Business ideas for soon to be jobless teacher
I (34M) am a foreign languages teacher with 10 years' experience and I am pretty sure that I am going to be laid off/made redundant in the next few weeks. This will give me around 6 months of my notice period to come up with a way to make money. I could apply for another job but would prefer to use my savings of around 40k to start a business. The obvious one would be to become an online tutor. I'd be able to teach a range of languages including French. I could also teach English as a foreign language. I have worked for some well-known private schools so could perhaps tutor for entrance exams. I have a degree and a teaching qualification. I would also happily open a car wash here in the UK if it pays well enough. Does anyone have any experience of this? I am looking for something profitable but I am not a proud person so it doesn't have to be a glamorous business.

Another Business Refused to Provide EIN
Hello, Does anyone have a way of finding an EIN number for another Business? - I paid him a large sum via bank wire. So I have proof. But when I asked for the EIN to 1099 him, he hung up on me and has not returned a call or email. I know the business is legit, and found his legal filings in VA and NC. But the EIN is not listed on their paperwork. I checked the FL database as they almost always have an EIN listed, but nothing on them there. Any help please? ( I have been on hold with IRS for 41 minutes now, I was going to try and see if they'd help.)

Advice for starting a craft beer shop?
A friend and I are in the early phases of starting a bottle shop (i.e. a shop that sells craft beer), online and brick-and-mortar. None of us have run a real business before, but between us we have several years experience in procurement/sourcing, sales, webpage design and some online marketing. Would anybody here have any industry-relevant feedback or advice as we head into this? This is in Europe btw. Cheers!

Paying abonus to employee as reimbursement
Hello all, if I am offering a bonus to a employee that regularly travels because of the particular job, is there a way to pay them as reimbursement just like mileage so that they are not taxed out of their bonus?

How should I pay if my spouse is working for me?
Hi everyone, I own a business (LLC in Texas). My spouse will work in my business as a manager. We always file joint tax. So, in terms of tax benefit, social security, and medicare, my question is: Should I pay my spouse as a regular W-2 employee OR not pay my spouse at all since we will file joint tax anyways? If she does not get paid, does she still earns her social security and medicare benefits when we file tax at the end of the year? What is your advice on my situations? Thank you.

Heather Morgan billed herself as "The Crocodile of Wall Street" and "Razzlekhan," a surrealist artist and YouTube rapper. Her husband, Ilya Lichtenstein, assumed a tamer persona: a "tech entrepreneur" who goes by the nickname "Dutch". Early Tuesday, their world of TED talk-style salons and music videos collapsed around them when they were detained on charges of conspiring to launder 119,754 Bitcoin, now worth about $4.5 billion. The digital currency, authorities say, came from the 2016 hack of the Bitfinex crypto exchange. On TikTok, Morgan freestyled about meme stocks and investment strategies ("My tendies going global / Bitcoin, Ethereum HODL!"). In court, prosecutors called the pair "sophisticated cyber criminals and money launderers." Tap the link in our bio to see the full story. 📷: Heather Morgan’s 2019 song, “Versace Bedouin,” on YouTube

Hobby Business
How much can you write off when doing a side business? Everything? Is there a certain amount you need to make? I currently own a humvee(military h1) and I want to buy another and buy some tools and machines to start making parts for it(accessories). If I’m not successful, can I still write everything off? How do they view the vehicle purchase because I assume that would be something people would take advantage of and I wouldn’t want to get in trouble with the IRS. I want to buy another version of the truck to use as a template and development. I would get a welder, plasma torch, plasma table, various other tools and supplies to make something. I’m thinking consoles for the inside of the vehicle.
