Breaking: US Senate votes to pass 1.9T pandemic relief bill, positive outlook on equities

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/06/covid-stimulus-update-senate-passes-1point9-trillion-relief-bill.html The US Senate just passed the 1.9T pandemic relief bill after negotiating with a centrist Democrat for the final vote to break the 50-50 tie. After a month of a downtrend in equities, on Friday, markets rallied into the green. I expect that this bill will likely be a catalyst that kicks markets off next week further into green territory as more households, especially those who are making less than 70k per year can anticipate a 1400 check in the coming weeks

Americans are one step closer to receiving a third round of stimulus checks. The Senate approved a $1.9 trillion economic aid package on Saturday after a marathon series of votes. Here’s how to check if you qualify, and where the bill is headed next: 💸 https://t.co/pntaoUw9gx https://t.co/Tee3ex1nTu

Disruptive innovation versus broad market index funds

As the title might suggest, I’ve been consuming a lot of ARK Invest’s content of late. They make the case that the coming years are going to be hell for a large segment of the market, due to the type of disruptive innovation that is the focus of ARK’s funds. They position themselves as a hedge against this activity. I’m aware they are, in a sense, marketing their funds, but I do think there is merit to their case. My question is, given this context, are broad market index funds as sensible a strategy as they are presented to be? What are some alternatives to incorporate as a hedge against this potential upheaval among stalwarts and the traditional safer harbors in the market?

Small Business Startup Home Mushroom Farm Help

Hi, I enjoy growing Oyster Mushrooms, Lion's Mane, Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms of all varieties and I would like to start a small business around selling medicinal tinctures and gourmet mushrooms to local restaurants and participation in local farmer's markets. What would I need to register this business? Would I be considered self-employed if this gets off the ground? I am in VA if that makes any difference, thanks

Can I open a personal checking account while waiting for my EIN?

Hi everyone, I'm launching a business and just finished a successful Kickstarter raising over $10,000. However, I have just started the process of incorporation and am waiting on the state to get back with the papers. In the meantime, would it be okay to open a personal checking account to handle the Kickstarter money and all other expenses, and then transfer the amount into a business account once I get my EIN? Thanks!

Connecting farmer to local customers

Hi Guys, My friend and I finished our codeathon. We build a website that allows farmers to connect local customers to promote "buy local". This application has 2 features right now. It has subscription and buy discounted close-to-expiry food. What do you guys think about this idea? Do you think it is viable? What is the pitfalls? Thank you for your feedback! :)

More people should know about Postify.com

Not being paid by them, just really think this is a powerful tool more businesses should utilize. [Postify.com](https://Postify.com) is a social media scheduling tool that allows businesses to schedule posts ahead of time to all of their social media profiles. It has quite a sleek look and an awesome UI. I love the heck out of it and think many people don't know it exists. IMO it's an essential tool for SMO and online marketing.

LLC tax question

4 of us started an LLC as 25% equal owners. My role in the company isn’t actually needed until later in the year, closer to Christmas time, so I won’t be taking a paycheck from the business until then, when I’m actually starting to have involvement. My question is, when tax time comes next year, would I still be on the hook for a full 25% of the profits the company made, or would I just be responsible for 25% of the money made when I start having an active role and taking a check?

Himx recovery in the coming week

HIMX seems like a no brainer investment. Great fundamentals, positive earnings, semis in huge demand. 7 straight days of red is concerning but it smells of manipulation. It has shown resilience around $10. It shows that it tracked just like most other semiconductor stocks this week, with most showing signs of positivity. The overall performance of the NASDAQ will dictate how this growth sector performs. With the chip shortage in many industries the demand is there for HIMX. Im hoping for a quick turn around and recovery.
