I need a Quickbooks Alternative

Good afternoon. I just started a landscaping company after a year of working for somebody else’s. I was head of contracts, billing and payments and the old company used Quickbooks for all of the above. There’s one problem: *I cannot fucking stand Quickbooks.* Is there a better estimate and invoicing system to use? We’re using ADP for payroll so it just has to do the above as well as act as a ledger. Thanks.

Is there any advantage to an LLC or corporation over being a sole proprietor?

I've recently started a side gig doing consulting and software development for another business. I expect to profit about $50-60k this year from this work. I have just started, and have never done anything outside of one-off jobs of this nature in the past (netting less than a few thousand dollars). So, I have limited business knowledge. My question, since I'll make a decent amount of money through this contract, and would like to grow this into something I do full time, is there any advantage to doing this work under an LLC or corporation?
