Describe the situation when your vendor/external employee failed you

Let’s share our f*ckups with vendors. 5am, catering service for 300ppl at a distant location, a couple of waiters didn’t show up 🤦🏼‍♀️

Considering buying a business in an industry I have no experience in. Am I making a huge mistake?

My field is the software field. But I am considering purchasing a business in the home improvement trade. If I make this purchase I won’t be delivering the services; the business has employees who are experts at the service it delivers. My role would be managerial, and I have lots of experience with that. I’ve read enough horror stories about folks buying a business they don’t understand and crashing it to have second thoughts about the wisdom of this transaction. But I also wonder if I can insulate myself from the dangers by sticking to running the business, and trusting the professionals I pay to do their work. I know that I will still need to put in plenty of time and effort to understand the technical details, even if I’m never in service delivery, but so that I can adequately understand the business. What would you do?

What's are the advantages and disadvantages of this solution for earning feedback from consumers? What do you think about the quality of filled surveys?

PPP Forgiveness

I started the application for PPP 1 forgiveness with Chase. I have an S Corp and am sole shareholder. I have employees and loan was under 150k. It appears I am eligible for only partial forgiveness, but when going to submit I get a message from chase saying something like “the request is for less than loan value, consider waiting until all proceeds are spent” The 24 weeks (subsequent to disbursement) has elapsed so I’m confused how I can still increase loan forgiveness. Appreciate any info

Virtual phone system to forward numbers

I am looking for a service so that when clients call an "Attendant" recording says. Press one for Thom, 2 for Jane, 3 for steve, etc... I do not need dial out services or voicemail or anything. Just a way to route calls when they call our main number. Any ideas?
