My son said his name!!

I know that doesn’t sound exciting or important, I get it. Most kids by the age of 3 speak much better than being able to pop out the occasional “more” or the rare “mama”. But my son has autism, and a speech delay. He’s been using AAC while having ST and he’s finally starting to talk. And today, after being silent all day and preferring to use his AAC to communicate with us, he was helping me make his daddy a birthday card and when we signed it off with his name, he pointed to it and said it! My heart is so warm today, that my little boy knows so much more than people give him credit for. And most importantly, he hit the final milestone his (future) Principal and his therapists wanted him to hit before he starts school in September; knowing, and recognizing, his own name!

My daughter

So my daughter has said a couple of times she was scared of her mom. We aren’t together anymore and I work out of state and home every 4 months. My little girl stays with my parents a lot. And she cries most of the time her mom comes and gets her. She doesn’t do it all the time. If her older brother is with her she usually goes without crying. When she says she’s scared of her mom she will say she’s just kidding when I ask why. She’s 3 but she’s smart. So not sure if she really is scared. Or knows it will get my parents to let her stay longer. Any thoughts or suggestions

Second child so hyper?

Is anyone else’s second child the one with all the sass, the tantrums, & the personality? My oldest is 6 & she is so sweet, girly, loves hugs and kisses. & is just my angel. Then there’s my almost 2 year old. She screams, hits, loves to play & throw things. Has tantrums everyday. I love them both so much but omg 2 polar opposite personalities results in a lot of fighting.. anyone else in the same boat?

6yo daughters skin

My daughter is 6. She has had semi bad skin for at least a year. She is one of the tallest kids in her class and keeps on growing. She is washing her face with soap pretty often, and usually washes with just water every morning. We use stridex wipes with salicylic acid 2 nights a week when she is with me, and when she is with her mother, I believe she washes every night. Does anyone have any suggestions or have you dealt with this issue? She doesn't have poppable whiteheads, but lots of small bumps along her hairline. Since covid, she has cut down to twice a week showers, while it was three per week before. Any help Is appreciated, thanks.

Moving overseas with a newborn!

Hi, guys! I'm facing a situation that is supposed to be something amazing but I'm having a lot of doubts. So, I hope you can give me a piece of advice about what should we do, please! :) **So, long story short:** I'm 32 weeks pregnant with my first child. I live in Brazil with my husband. Last week he received two job offers from two different companies in Europe, one from Portugal and another from The Netherlands. We wouldn't have to move right now but the companies are expecting us to move when the baby is 6 months old or something like this. The job offers are really good, and we are tempted to accept one of them. This could be our chance to raise our baby in a country with way more structure than Brazil. But at the same time, this is scary as hell lol Should we really move to another country with a newborn baby? Does anyone have experience moving overseas with a newborn? How was it? Please tell me your stories so that I can stop being anxious a bit! Thank you!!

How do you deal with messy mealtimes?

This is going to sound ridiculous, but I bathe my 15 month old stepson probably three times a day. He's been a messy eater since he started on solids. He used to stick his hand in his mouth full of food, and wipe it on his head, and still does to this day. It also doesn't help he's got a very full head of hair, so it's a chore getting the food out of his hair. In the last couple of months we switched to the silicone bibs with the cups, which has helped a TON. But the second he decides he's done eating, it goes all over his face, hair, and the floor. Don't get me wrong, he's come leaps and bounds compared to where he was at, but he's still so messy!! I cannot get through a meal time without him needing a bath! I even asked my mom what she'd do in this situation, but she just shrugged and said it is what it is lol. How do you deal with messy mealtimes??

We’ve used @Skinniesuk silk clothing before for #eczema and found them really effective. My poor teen is finding her school uniform and allergy season and #backtoschool triggering a massive flare. https://t.co/maLnoVgFIv I’ve ordered her a new set. Hoping it helps.
