Pros and Cons of my gym offering free membership to people 300 lbs and over until they get to 299?
We offer group fitness, group MMA related classes, have personal training on both sides, and a commercial gym. This is a population that I probably won't get business from a lot anyway. This could be a fun way to make the gym more inclusive to severely out of shape people who are scared to make the leap or feel its too much of a financial commitment. it could also be a fat shaming PR nightmare. Where's Nathan for you when you need him

Simple vs. compound interest? Which is this?
I made a cash loan to another business and when looking over the paperwork I can't determine if it is compound interest or a simple flat interest rate. Here's the wording from the note: In the event any part of the payment due hereunder shall not have been paid on the date when due, "<company>" shall pay to Payee interest on the outstanding and unpaid balance at the rate of "##" percent per annum. Does that mean compounded annually, or is it just the principle that has interest applied annually?
