While there are only a few Russian officials to speak out against the war, Chubais is not the only one. Arkady Dvorkovich also stepped down last week as head of the Skolkovo technology fund after condemning the invasion https://t.co/yQgOTq5Fgw https://t.co/fppqviefsl

Tax questions regarding small llc business in Texas

Just going to be transportation company. Think conventional day cab (tractor) pulling an end-dump trailer hauling aggregate in the concrete industry. Pretty basic. One employee and the truck and trailer. Registered as a llc company in Texas. Anyone have an idea of all the included taxes I’ll be subject to? I’ve done some looking into, but I’m still left wondering. Any help or pointing me in the right direction would help. I’m in the process of writing a business plan. I’d appreciate any insight. Thanks and hope your day is going well.

need help dealing with employee

hi I have an employee who doesn't want to change. She doesn't want to offload any of the work or share the workload. She complains she has too much and we've been helpful by employing new staff but she does not allow her to help. She is good at her job but she is now a bottle neck to the business, if she's not here we don't know what she has done as its all on her deskopt and doesn't like to use the system or folders we've setup. Now we have 100s of queries in a day and we've tried to used shared mailbox and folders so that we can work together but she keeps refusing and avoiding to use softwares packages we've purchased to help her. Now our last app is using a ticketing system which two out of three members are happy to use but she doesn't want to use it. What could I do in this instance, she is good at her job but not good working with others.

MacKenzie Scott, the former wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, has donated almost $3.9 billion since June to 465 organizations — more than half of which are led by women. Scott outlined her latest giving in a Medium post published Wednesday, saying the aim of her philanthropy was "to support the needs of underrepresented people from groups of all kinds." The list of recipients ranged from Boys & Girls Clubs to the Climate Justice Resilience Fund to Planned Parenthood, but didn’t indicate how much each group received. Requiring employees to use their own tools/equipment.

How do auto repair shops manage to have everyone own their own tool box? I own a photography business. Coming up in the industry I always owned my own cameras and a decent laptop but used other company owned equipment (lighting, desktop computer) and didn’t really think much of it because a photographer should have a camera... Now I have employees of my own. One of my main guys does not like that he has to use his own gear and has brought it up occasionally over the past few years. I don’t disagree with him and over the next 12 months I plan on building out a kit of pool equipment, every/anything needed to shoot any of our jobs without using any personal gear(and always renting additional as needed.) Just wondering what other industries do and if there is a norm across the board?

Someone is using my business name to charge people's credit cards.

Hi there, I have a small business running an ecommerce store. 6 years old with good reputation. I've received about 5-6 calls this month so far with angry people asking why I've charged their credit card if they never even knew our company existed. Usually a penny charge, then reverted. Once it was a flat $500 charge. Todays' concerned victim was from south africa and we only operate in the US. Whoever is doing it is using our name, city, state and phone numbers. I don't know where it originates and have no idea how to stop it or who to go to. Any ideas are welcome! Thank you...

“Pop up” stand

I was wondering if anybody in this group has experience doing a pop-up stand? For example, I see someone in our city occasionally on this road with a honey stand and I was wondering what would the requirements be in order to do this? Is the location matters I’m in Colorado

Do any of you use physical business cards?

If yes, where are you from and why do you prefer having physical business cards over other methods of sharing your contact information?

Commercial Lease Landlord Responsibility for Structural Building Issues

I recently rent a space for my business in Jan. It’s in a old building built in the early 1900’s and as we started renovating we with landlord approval removed the ceiling so we could insulate the space. Unfortunately the roof trusses are insect/weather damaged and sagging they are undersized for the open span. I have concerned about the soundness of the roof collapsing and when I chatted with our landlord he said it wasn’t his responsibility. The lease says Landlord shall be under no obligation to do any maintenance and or make any repairs except for Landlord will be responsible for any and all roof repairs and roof maintenance. Landlord shall not be liable for any failure to make repairs on said Premises. Do I have any recourse legal or with the city to make him do the right thing so the roof doesn’t collapse?

How can I workflow marketing asset creation? What tool(s) should be using to quickly generate semi-custom materials suite to send to clients?

I am a mid-level designer working at a small SaaS start-up operating in the healthcare and benefits space. For each new client we take on, they need a comprehensive co-branded suite of marketing material to promote the use of our benefit to their employees/population. (Coming from the agency world workflow is a lot different.) What programs/services should I be using so I am not just updating and exporting design layouts day-in-and-day-out? Variables that change per client are their enrollment codes, incentives, images relevant to their population, .etc. Any workflow/automation suggestions/resources are greatly appreciated (or other subs that I should be asking on). Also, any services I can use to integrate with Google Analytics to streamline link implementation. Thanks in advance! TL;DR – Material suite automation for repeatable new client-handoff workflow tips. PLZ help. Thank you.

Will book stores be completely obsolete in 10-20 years?

I know less and less people read but I always thought it would be great to open a used book store that does community events sort of like public libraries do. Does anyone know if this is a waste of time/money? Can any book store owners tell me if they do/dont recommend it?
