When selling a business -- does Revenue matter?

Imagine I have two businesses Business A makes 100k a year in profit, with 200k in revenue Business B makes 100k a year in profit, with 1M in revenue. Is B a lot more valuable? Or less?

Fundrise kept over 1/3 of my portfolio upon liquidation/cashout! Ghosting me

Okay— so I’ve been making recurring deposits into this account since 2019 after dropping 1k in to start. I received minuscule returns of pennies to dollars here and there, so largely what was in this account was money I deposited and looked at it as being there for safe keeping + dividend potential. Unfortunately I had Covid related issues with my family force the decision to liquidate and cash out all funds to help pay for medical/life expenses. I had to wait until Q1 ended and about 8 deposits just hit my account— and I have now discovered that over 33% was withheld despite the FAQs mentioning penalties of 1-3% depending on the type of investment it was in. Can anyone help make sense of this or why this could ever be possible? It feels like theft.

.com vs .net email?

I may be putting too much though into this, but does it make a difference having a .net email vs a .com? Business is a trucking business. So website would be very basic. But the email would be used for Eveything. Just want to see if I’m overthinking and the .net email will be fine Edit* mycompanynamecorp.com is available, but my company is my company name inc, so I don’t think that would work.

Start making Customer Engagement as soon as possible

Hey, I spent \~800 hours working on my SaaS project. And all this time I was in the box, not talking to real customers. Remember when you finally finished and deployed update in production emotion. Yeah... It's amazing feelings. But when a few days passed and there are no customers your motivation starts to drops. I've collected a list of useful habitats for your business growth: Create company social channels and start posting about workflow, activities, don't be a fantom (use Twitter, IndieHackers milestones, Facebook) Create a subscription form on a landing page to get first adopters Send welcome email (I use MailChimp, Moosend) Collect your customers' feedback with simple survey (MetaSurvey, Crowdsignal, SurveySparrow), then analyze feature requests and correct your RoadMap Create public RoadMap to show users your progress (Trello) Connect with other makers don't be alone Good luck!

People who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus can travel safely in the U.S. without getting tested or self-quarantining, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Friday. However, travelers should still continue to wear masks, practice social distancing and wash their hands, whether they are fully vaccinated or not, according to the agency. The CDC updated its travel guidance on Friday, saying: "Fully vaccinated travelers are less likely to get and spread COVID-19." The agency did say that if a destination requires testing, fully vaccinated travelers would still need to adhere to the destination's requirements. Go to the link in our bio for more on this story.

Fidelity Roth IRA Without Income

So, at the beginning of this year (early January) I opened a Roth IRA with fidelity. Following this, I deposited some money. However, before I invested any of it I realized I need a reportable income to use a Roth IRA, which i do not have yet while i’m at college. I’m wondering what options I have now with the money deposited. If I try to pull it out, I may get penalized for removing money too soon. I also have a normal brokerage with Fidelity but I’m not sure if the penalty applies to transferring the unused cash into that. I plan on working while home for the summer as well so I’m hoping by the end of the year I will have reportable income. Does it seem like it would make the most sense to leave it until i know for sure i will have reportable income? Or, is it possible to somehow take the money out or transfer it before then?

How do you file your company documents?

When it comes to filing away certain documents and/or files, what do you use? Some files could be: * Starting up documents * Legal documents * Client documents * And more I know CRMs are mainly used for maintaining client-side information, but what do you use for the business side?

Tea Packaging Question

Hello, newbie question I am currently brainstorming and exploring some different ideas. One idea involves ordering tea/milk powder in bulk, and assembling it into our own little packets to put inside a milk tea kit. My question is, how would someone like me assemble the tea/powder inside these packets? Would the best move here be to find and contact a tea manufacturer who also packs it in custom packaging? I am welcoming any sort of suggestions and advice regarding this kind of stuff. I don't know where to start, and I was hoping someone has gone through this idea and can point me in the right direction. Thanks!
