What are my options if I can't sell my business?
I own a business and plan to retire in a few years. I hope to sell the business prior to retiring and for the proceeds to be added to my retirement fund. But as it is in a rather niche industry there is no guarantee that I'll find a buyer. If that happens what are my options? Could I give the company to a couple of the employees in exchange for an ongoing royalty of X% of revenue? Or is there a better option?

CPA doesn't file state return?
I hired a CPA for the first time for my business this year, who I had a lot of issues with (they were wrong on advice, sloppy on details, hard to reach, etc). I just got a notice from my state that my state return is past due, and I will owe penalties. I assumed hiring a CPA would mean any and all of my taxes would be filed, and we never had any conversation about the state side of things being my responsibility (we actually never discussed them at all). Was my expectation that my CPA would file both my federal and state returns incorrect? I want to come prepared to our conversation, because they have a tendency to come up with new rules retroactively (I was charged a brand new, undisclosed fee for a "business" return at the end of the process, despite having hired them for my business, for example).

Has your business be labeled as high-risk by Stripe or Square? If so, what did you do?
Curious what everyone here has done after being told their business is “high-risk” by payment processors. Curious to learn more about what owners are doing and if any of the tools we’re building could help.

Paying my own business
Apologies is this is a really basic question, but I’m just getting my business started. If I have two small businesses, can I pay one business to do work for my other business? As an example, could I use my small marketing business to create material for my local shop?

Any extra risk in hiring a WFH assistant for doing payroll and other “sensitive information”
I really need an office assistant but don’t have any additional space for a work area. I need someone to -Log into ADP and run payroll -Send invoices from quickbooks - populate and send job contracts - some lite bookkeeping - possibly new hire paperwork Maybe come in once a week and file some stuff and do accounts receivable and remote deposits I’m not sure if it’s full time worthy. But I could probably make it enough work to be full time. Anyone have success with this kind of job as part time work from home?

Google ad suspension help
Hey guys, I have gotten hit with a google ad suspension due to unacceptable business practices. I worked with someone who had knowledge on this stuff and made many changes to my site, however, my appeal keeps getting rejected. He now believes it is because I have lots of trademarked stuff on my site for sale, however, all these stuff are officially licensed and we buy them wholesale from major US licensors and companies. Has anyone had anything like this? Any solutions in mind. Thanks

Favorite business/entrepreneur Twitter accounts?
Howdy. I don't use Twitter much, but I want to test it out as a learning tool. What are some of your favorite accounts to follow? It could be accounts with general entrepreneurship education, running a business, etc., or more specific like email marketing, social creative tips, etc. Fire away! Looking forward to seeing what people recommend.

What's a good and safe virtual credit card service that you use?
There's so much agressive credit card requests everywhere. Is there a vcc service that allows you to create and fill new virtual cards on demand, that is also safe & doesn't trigger red flags?

Uk Shot roulette Event Business
Hi all, been looking to earn a little extra at weekends and thought of an idea as the title suggests. Was thinking that setting up a table with a roulette wheel, people “betting” on red or black and if they’re colour comes up they get a shot of that colour, the more they bet the higher the reward (and a cheeky bet on green for x amount of shots per £) but I was wondering the insurance and factors in consideration. Currently have Public Liability for another venture that I do during the week so will this cover also and would I need a license to sell drink and gambling or would neither suffice? Thanks I’m advance!

Business is closing, how much notice do I give employees?
Long story short, business doesn't make enough money and I'm starting to wrap things up. I have two part time employees, they both use this as their sole income (I have no idea how they afford it). How much notice do I give to them knowing we are open for another few weeks, booking services etc.? I don't intend on telling the customer base until there are three weeks left open.
