What happens if you change your mind after telling someone they are hired?
I hired someone to replace a current employee and I'm having cold feet on firing the current employee. The new guy has a start date next week, but hasn't signed any paperwork or anything. They'd already quit their previous job before being offered this one so while definitely shitty, it's not like I caused him to be jobless.

Invoice and recipes
Invoice and receipts. I wonder what everyone is using for invoicing and receipts? I refused to join the big guys with their big fees. I am barely starting a party decor business and do not want to give my little investment in fees. I just wonder what everyone else is using to keep things organized.

Do You Have Your Own WordPress Account or Just Rely on Your Developer's?
Had our site built by a 3rd party. They sent us WP admin log-in credentials but its never been fully clear to me if we had our own account or if our site was just existing on our developer's account (we manage the hosting directly with a hosting service). We subscribe to a threat monitoring service that just yesterday made a recommendation that we update some of the WP plug-ins being utilized on our website. Not fully sure what to do with that feedback but in doing some research on it I'm still confused if our business should have its own WP Admin account (presumably would allow us to execute plug-in updates directly through that?) vs. not. We contracted the developer to do development; not necessarily to provide ongoing security and patching (although we've paying them pretty consistently for the last couple of years for ongoing edits, refinements, additions, etc. that are above and beyond our comfort level).

I have a problem with my project.
Good evening everyone, I'm creating this project which consists of looking for teachers willing to give online lessons to put them in touch with students who need some help at school. To explain better, students go to this telegram channel and fill out a form, which once sent I will receive and decide which professor best suits their needs, and then that professor will teach that student. Then the student always pays me and with that money I pay the teacher by taking a small percentage. Or at least this is the idea I have in mind, but I'm finding few professors and no students contact me, advice?

Can you have your employees wear body cams when entering people's homes in MA?
I have an in home pet grooming service in Massachusetts and am hoping to add some employees soon. Is it legal to have employees wear a go pro device when performing services within people's homes to protect us and them from false claims of theft, abuse, etc.? I would plan to inform all prospective employees and clients of this safety measure. I'd love to require it. Thoughts?

How to get tax exempt for small business ?
Hi everyone, I formed my LLC and received my EIN from the IRS. How am I able to get tax exempt from stores like Walmart, BestBuy, etc? I went to Walmart today and tried applying for the tax exempt card and showed my seller’s permit and California resale certificate. The associate told me that I have to get the tax exempt from the city and that tax exempt can be used anymore. Thank you

Help with cheap Worldwide shipping services
Hey guys, hope you are doing well. I recently opened up a business Instagram page for my kick up products. I recieved a good share of buzz from people around the world who would like to order, like people in USA, Italy, and India. I checked almost all known shipping services and they are all expensive. I reside in Lebanon, therefore I ship from here. My product prices are about 30-35$ however the shipping prices are more than double my product. I've searched UPS, aramex, DHL. I really need advice and help guys, as this is my first step into the real world completely by myself as a 19 year old. Advice and help are hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

SEO... Help...
New to eCommerce, have a retail website (non-drop ship) for our small retail store front. How do y'all manage your SEO? Is it worth paying a company or try and learn it myself? Recently linked our shops social media and working to be more active online. Received a quote from an SEO company, $200/month. Thoughts? Looking to have a larger presence, smoother search options on my actual website, and just general ecom web help. Any advice/insight helpful

How to record unit price for inventory/supplies? Example in comments
If I order multiple items from a supplier all with different prices how do I account for shipping and taxes that are included in that order on a per unit basis? For example if I order 16 oz of item A and 4 oz of item B do I just figure out what the shipping and tax is per ounce and then use that for total price I'm paying for each item? I'm not explaining it well but I hope that makes sense.

Traditional landline 800 service recommendations
We are currently using MCI for our 800 service, we pay $40 a month so our local landline number rings when someone calls our 800 number. MCI was already a marginal company but since being acquired by Verizon several years ago they are even worse, at least as far as their customer service goes. For example I can't pay online and I can't even update my auto-pay credit card number because their system has been broken for several weeks. When I try to update the type of account I have so I could hopefully pay online I get bounced back and forth between Verizon and MCI, waiting long times on hold and often disconnected. So, I'm looking for recommendations for an 800 service that will make our local Verizon 555-555-1212 number ring when someone calls our 800-555-1234 number. We'd need to port our existing 800 number, hopefully that doesn't require me dealing with MCI/Verizon any further. Does anyone have suggestions?

Cheaper Shipping Rates for Ecwid Store: Seeking Alternatives to ShipStation - Any Recommendations?
Hey everyone, I'm looking for advice on alternatives to ShipStation.com. I recently launched a website on Ecwid and noticed a discrepancy in shipping rates that my customers face when buying on Ecwid versus getting direct quotes from ShipStation. ShipStation told me that the rates shown on their platform are special negotiated rates that only appear in ShipStation, which means my customers won't be seeing those same rates. I want to make sure my customers always get the cheapest shipping rates possible, so I'm hoping someone here can recommend an alternative that offers competitive rates. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Bookkeeping nightmares?
Hello. I am finally at the place in my business venture that I need a bookkeeper. I currently have a CPA but she has been kinda non-responsive plus she is from another state.. doesnt know my state stuff very well. Anyways... What should I be aware of when hiring someone to take over my bookkeeping, and payroll needs. Also what other services did you get from your CPA/Bookkeeper that helped your business. (This is does not mean spam my private messages if you own an accounting firm.) I want to be prepared and make sure I am not missing anything.
