The premature loss of unemployment benefits in two dozen states caused a modest uptick in job searches, according to a new analysis published by Indeed this week. At least 24 Republican states decided this month to opt out of the federal unemployment program that provided out-of-work Americans with an extra $300 a week, on top of their regular state benefits. The supplemental benefit is not slated to expire until Sept. 6, 2021. Job search activity rose by 5% the day each state announced its plan to cut off the sweetened aid, according to Indeed data. A broad range of sectors saw search activity climb, but the increase was largest for marketing, sales and hospitality and tourism jobs. Go to the link in our bio for more on this story.

USPS put supplies in wrong locker, said supplies taken by another, what is my recourse?
We get our stock from a European company that uses Fed Ex to our PO box in Oregon. Got delivery notification. Went to PO to pick up. Had a locker key in the box. The wrong item was in the locker. "Oops, the new guy switched the keys. The package was already picked up by them". Not to mention that this package was very delayed already, I am now in a bind with customers (will be offering refunds and free upgrades) WHAT is my recourse with the Post Office? The package is insured... TIA!

I want to create a luxury / upscale photo booth business
What’s up everybody I have an idea of creating a luxury photo booth company. I grew up in a very celebratory family. We always had tons of events. Now that I’m older I was looking to create a second income stream via photo booths. My ideal position in the market would be upscale, more adult type events. I see photo booths all the time at all age events, but the market Id like to target is more company based or adult group based events. The costs of my services, due to me purchasing high grade equipment falling on one person is always on my mind. (ex: a backyard birthday party usually paid for by parents) Where as a corporate event being more lucrative and NOT falling on the check book of a single person but more so a possible tax write off for an entity fits better with my plan. Still fleshing this thing out but I’ve pushed the button and bought my EQ. Looking to start soon. All thoughts & opinions are welcomed

How did you get the funds to open a store front?
Hello everyone , So my business partner and I have been working the last 2 months or so to get capital to open up a roller skate shop. We have been rejected by sba, BoA, Dream spring lending, and while we got approved for some money at Wells fargo (the lowest amount possible) its safe to say that its not anywhere near the amount we'd need to legitimately open a shop. We're even looking to getting an equity line of credit. So my question to those who have a brick and mortar store. How did you get capital/funds to open?
