🌀A captivating spiral galaxy 150 million light-years from Earth The Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) on our NASAHubble telescope captured the images that allow us to see delicate structures of gas and dust within this galaxy in the constellation of Virgo. WFC3 is a very versatile camera, as it can collect ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light, thereby providing a wealth of information about the objects it observes. WFC3 was installed on Hubble by astronauts in 2009, during the telescope’s final Space Shuttle servicing mission. Astro.Megan, now aboard the ISS, operated the shuttle’s robotic arm during the repair spacewalks. Credit: EuropeanSpaceAgency/Hubble & NASA, D. Rosario; Acknowledgment: L. Shooting star or meteor?
Two day ago ( possibly 8-930pm California ) I saw what looked to be a shooting star really close to me . It happened right as I entered my backyard. I live in a 1 story house and next to me are two story apartments . The “star” seemed to dissipate right before potentially hitting a window on the second story . I was able to see about 3 seconds of it and it happened right as I stepped out . It looked like a simple white star with no trail behind it . I just can’t wrap my ahead around how close it was .

Question About Distance to the Moon
If there were a city the size of New York built on the moon, would we be able to see it from Earth with the naked eye, or would we need a telescope?
