How should a business owner dress?
I am probably thinking too much into this but it never hurts to ask. My business is taking off I am making sales, getting clients and all that fun stuff. I typically dress in Jeans and T shirt with a logo of my company hat, I am in the Firearms industry and I am starting to meet with some folks from other companies, large distributors, accountants, people in a more professional world than I am used to. I feel like I am fine to interact with everyday customers in my normal attire but have no idea what I should be wearing to meet other professionals. Like a dress shirt and slacks? A polo and jeans? I have the Build of a young Danny Devito (short and stout) Any input is appreciated and I am happy to learn from everyone here. Happy to share as well

Should I refund my customers’ downpayments?
Sooo I’m a small Filipina business owner who’s been selling makeup from the US over the past few months (many US brands do not cater to the Philippines).. I buy items from the US, have them delivered to some of my relatives in LA, and get it shipped to the Philippines. BUT!! I recently ran into problems with shipping while it is en-route to my country. The incoming package full of makeup that are supposedly for selling is now tagged as "lost box" so I don't know whether or not I should refund my customers' downpayments. The downpayments amount to ₱250 (around $5); while their supposed remaining payment would be around ₱1k ($18) Should I still refund their downpayments? Well I already lost money due to the package being lost in transit so money is a little tight right now. If it's reasonable for me to not refund it anymore, what should I tell my customers? There are only 8 of them for this specific package btw. Thank you! Your insights are well-appreciated. :)

Raising Funds via Debt Markets. Is it Possible for a Small Profitable Business? Instead of Getting a Loan or Selling Shares?
Just as the title says. "Raising Funds via Debt Markets. Is it Possible for a Small Profitable Business? Instead of Getting a Loan or Selling Shares?" I have a business. I make a profit. Getting loans from banks has lead to nothing. Can I call some finance company and issue debt? Or how can I go about say looking to get a loan at a low rate like 5% or 10%. In USA

Is there any good reason to switch from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop?
Our CPA has suggested that at the beginning of 2023, we switch over to using QuickBooks Desktop fully. We've been using QuickBooks Online since 2012, and it's what we're the most familiar with. He keeps saying that we can do things in QBD that we can't in QBO, but he hasn't given super specific examples of this. If we switch to QBD, we could use the QBD payroll element as well, which would be nice. Or, we could stick with QBO and use Gusto or something for payroll. Is there a reason why we would go to QBD?

Help please. I have been using free gmail for my business for years, now they want to switch to Google Workspace (thats fine) but I don't know who the Admin name or the password that initially set everything up 10 years ago. And it's no letting me switch without that info.
Any Google Workspace customer service starts with the Admin info, and thats what I don't have!! Any suggestions? "Hi there, We’re writing to remind you that on June 27, 2022, Google will begin upgrading G Suite legacy free edition accounts to Google Workspace. "

Buying a Single-Member LLC
I just formed a multi-member LLC and we are buying a single-member LLC. If they didn't file 2021 taxes, am I responsible for them if I am buying the entire business? Should I request that they file the taxes prior to the sale?

I have only 3 employees but I'm struggling figuring out if I'm actually making money or not. I want something very simple and easy to use. It will be mostly used to keep track of money coming in and out. All the apps i have looked at, they don't have an option to add a recurring montly expense like wages. Any recommendations? Thanks

Investing money from my business into another business?
I own a small business that I take an owners draw from every month. I am starting a second unrelated business and need about $2K of initial investment. What would be the best way to withdraw that money from my current business and put it into the new one? From my understanding, if I do an owners draw for that money I would need to pay personal income tax on it. Or would I be able to write it off my personal tax as a new business expense? Would my existing business be able to invest straight into the new business? Ultimately the tax is not a huge deal since the amount is small, but trying to figure out if there is a good way to avoid the money going through my personal account or if it’s even worth avoiding my personal account. I am in the US.

Thermal Printing Shipping Labels Question
Hi all! I am going to start shipping T-Shirts for my business next month so I’ve been looking into thermal printers for shipping labels. I found that the Zebra ZSB series was pretty cost effective and has good reviews. I just have a question about how to actually generate the labels as I’ve never done this before. Is there a way to generate the labels from my computer in a way that will be accepted through UPS/USPS/FedEx etc.? If so, how? Also, I’ve researched that it is easy to generate shipping labels online with UPS then send them directly to the thermal printer. If I go this route, does it cost any money to generate the labels with UPS, but print and ship them from my house? Thanks for your help guys!

POS system with inventory control
We currently have toast which yes does have inventory control. However, we are needing something much more…difficult maybe? We offer fresh BBQ daily - when we’re out we’re out. We offer half pounds, sandwiches etc What we want is a way to put in “100 pounds of brisket” for example and while we sell sandwiches (4 oz) it takes away from the TOTAL brisket available in store and online. If that makes sense. Any ideas?

offering loans for customers who can't afford big expenses
I've been seeing a lot of a business ads for a company called "gethearth.com" they offer loans for people who need them. I'm curious if anyone here has used a company like this on clients? Pitching this option with an estimate/proposal? I think offering a customer something like this might get me bigger jobs. Just curious if anyone has had any success with anything like this?
